Heat me
MDNI
disclaimer : fuff, making love, missionnary, unprotected sex (burrito guys BU-RRI-TO) breeding kink, dom/sub?, no name mentioned
Where you were from, windows were covered by interior curtains and shutters on the outside, all this to prevent the heat in summer and cold in winter.
When you woke up this morning, you were surprised and blinded by the light.
- "Aaaaah... I really need to buy some curtains to prevent the morning light", you grumbled as you drag your feet to the kitchen downstairs.
The building was a medium one, only 4 dorms and a little rooftop apartment which seemed to be intended. You happily sign the contract after cautiously reading every details. Even if, the cost was medium (probably due to the weather exposition), the charges were more as acceptable, not to say cheap in comparison of your native.
However, a thing caught your attention We are extremely sorry because the neighbors are loud at night time. We hope it won't be a problem. They are out most of the time. But we'll have to met them to make some update about the different bills : electricity, gaz, light, cold and warm water.
"It's okay, I usually work at night time, because I'm dealing with local artists", the landlord looked reassured and the contract was signed the following second.
Fortunately for you, the previous tenant had leave some furniture including the bed, the kitchen and The armoires. You unpacked your things, clothes, art supplies, music supplies and the decorative items to picked here and there.
That was a first day but it feels like home already. Now, funny thing : groceries. You took the subway with individual caddie and made the ladies jealous. So much so that most sellers offer you discounts to promote their shops. Your Korean was harsh and unpleasant to hear but you guess that everybody was too happy to met a stranger trying to speak their language that they decide to not notice.
that's how you went home with plenty of various products. You laughed a bit to the situation. Then processed to make a dinner. You sort veggies, fruits, meats...
- "MEATS??? WTF?", you shouted of surprised before adding a little sorry.
Anyway, sauces, power, flour, juice. Ha Jeez, they didn't joke about gift. But there's something missing... a beer and a pizza. So, you grabbed your wallet and jacket to run down the next 7/7 near buy. you took yourself a little banana milk and a taro drink.
Putting the fresh groceries on the counter, you prepare the rest, washing the veggies, the fruits and drop them off in a cute basket. Then meats and liquids were put in the fridge.
You turned on the TV, and started to watch The Moving Castel. The pizza heating in the oven faisait spread a delicious smell and you open you beer.
You sat up from the sofa heating to the kitchen, took out the pizza, sliced it in several pieces before heading back to your place with your food.
*knock knock*
Oh noooo you sight, put the movie on pause, putting on a hoodie and you sadly answer the door.
- "Hey Hello ! I'm one of your new neighbors"
-... you opened the doors "Good evening?"
- "Excuse my curiosity but i smelt a delicious odor and then i all freak out because one of my favorite movies was playing somewhere.", the boy was black haired. "excuse me, it's very impromptu but would accept me to watch it with you?"
- "Oh huh, yes I guess?"
- "COOL ! i'm H/N btw"
- "Y/N"
- "So nice to meet you! hold on, wait for me, I'm gonna grabbed some snacks!", he run away before being back seconds later. "Let's watch it!"
You both jumped on each side of the sofa. The movie started to run. As the minutes passed, the clother you became. At the end, snacks and pizza empty, we were absolutely glued one to an other. It was late and you felt into sleep on the shoulder of your new friend.
- "Hey Y/Nnie you need to go bed", you grumbled "bulama good yoa arms", He sight. "Okay, guide me to your room".
He grabbed you princess style and lean to your bed, help by your lazy finger.
- "Here you go, good night sweet dreams", he whispered.
- "Stay with me pleeeease... it's a new town and I'm lonely."
No-one will ever know why he stayed. November was a cold month, specially at night. "Heat me up please. I'm freezing." Your host turn around and wrapped his legs and arms around you.
- Is it better now? ", he asked. But your body seems to keep shaking. So He tightened his grip around you. Your nose in the little of his neck permits you to inhale his fragrance. Oh boy, he smelt heavenly.
one thing leads to another, both of you find their shelves kissing each other. The kiss was light and passionate.
his arms went to keep you tight and his lips intensified the connection. As this happens, you were in awe, this man is wonderful, muscular and sweet in the same time. How to say no?
His hands cupped your chin and your legs opened as he positioned himself on his knees. He looked at you for your consent and nodded shyly.
- "Jagiya, don't need to be shy with me okay?", his hands went to brush the garnement of the tank top betraying your erected nipples. His touch were soft, teasing the flesh and keep starting to add more pressure. Your first moan escaped your mouth but the second were caught by his own lips.
Everything was sweet and slow he removed your panties gently while keep cheesy smiling to you. You didn't know what was in his eyes, was it love? nuh unfortunately, lust ? hum carrying? yes, looked like it.
He layed down, leaving pecks here and there. Then he reached your private part, kissing, licking, sucking like his life was in game. You tried to touch him.
- "No sweetheart, the pleasure is mine. You no move and stay still. You don't want to be punish little thing?"
He grabbed your knees and left his dick spend free. He's was beautiful, tanned skin, define muscles and his cock.. wow hard, proud, brown-ish and leaking with precum.
- "Lemme lead", tonight is about you, you only ", he whispered lightly in your ears. You shivered, hard. He let you heading on the mattress.
- "Please, lift your hips", he said as he placed a pillow for a better leverage.
He ran a finger all the way down before entering his 2 digits. He was no the first man you had sex with. But boy, he was good. He covered you and praised sweet nothing into your ears. When your orgasm started to building up. He removed his finger, cutting you off a moan.
- "Ssshhh baby, it's going to be okay.", he lifted his hips and slowly penetrated you.
- "S-so big aaahh~" and he bottomed out. "For suck sake you're tight!", His length was big enough for you, you felt absolutely everything, his pulses, his tips kissing your cervix. " I'll start to move sweetheart", and moving he did.
His pace was slow, deep but firm. He encaged you between his arms.
Blank, everything is blank, sounds, odors only remains the slapping sounds skin under skin and the heat increasing at each second.
- "hhha hahahaha~ you so big. f-fuck", you were a mumbling mess.
- "You're so soft, so kind, offering me your sweet little pussy... but", he gripped your hips and sending you head down, ass up. "Baby, you did so good to mount you, making you mine and no one else."
His pace became barely impossible to follow. You found yourself trying to absorb his cock. He grunted and suddenly shot his load. Hot, long and copious spurs filled up your cunt.
You collapsed from exhaustion.
- "Tsk tsk tsk baby, get up, I'm not done with you yet. I came yes, but you no. So, be prepared for one of the longest night of your life".

Night Watch part 4
Part One, Part Two, Part Three
Jason never noticed before how empty the night could feel. Then again, he used to spend a lot of those nights stoned. Once he was sober, he was still too restless at night, so he sought out jobs that would keep him occupied. He figured being a night guard would play to his strengths.
Salim turned out to be an unexpected bonus to the job. The guy was good company: smart, funny, and he got the cutest look on his face when Jason messed with him. Not that Jason thought Salim was cute. It wasn't that at all. He just liked seeing the guy around.
“I'll be heading out now,” Salim announced. He started packing his things.
“It's only ten-thirty,” Jason protested.
“I have a curfew,” Salim joked. Jason let out a soft snort.
“Good one.” He watched Salim zip up his bag and felt a need to keep the man around a while longer. “How much do I owe ya for the coffee?”
“Don't worry about it. It was my treat.”
“If you say so.” Jason fidgeted with his cap while trying to think of something else to say. “Maybe I can pay you back by gettin' the coffee tomorrow. How do you like it?”
“Just black is fine, my friend.” Jason cocked an eyebrow at him. He'd tasted the coffee Salim got for himself. The shit was strong and bitter. “I have some sweet snacks I eat with it,” Salim explained.
“Well, shit, I can bring that, too,” Jason offered. “What do you like? Coffee cake? Doughnuts?”
“I usually have fruit,” Salim told him with an amused twinkle in his eye. “Fewer crumbs.” He swung the strap of his backpack across a shoulder. “Thank you for the offer, though,” he said. “Good night, Jason. I'll see you tomorrow.”
“Uh, wait!” Jason blurted out. Salim paused, and Jason hunted around for something to say. “I gotta lock up behind you,” he said.
He walked with Salim to the entrance. When they got there, Jason opened the door. Salim shot him a surprised look that quickly shifted to a small smile. There was something almost shy in the look; he probably wasn't used to people opening doors for him. Jason was taught it was the polite thing to do regardless of who it was for. Salim stepped out, turning to face Jason.
“Good night,” he said again.
“Good night,” Jason echoed. The two stood there for a moment in silence. Salim broke first, turning to head down the block. Jason waited until the man was out of sight before locking the door.
It took about five minutes for Jason to start feeling Salim's absence. Even when they weren't chatting, just having the guy around was nice. Jason found himself walking to Salim's table, only realizing he was doing it when he felt a sinking disappointment seeing the spot empty. Jason shoved down the feeling and continued with his rounds.
I'll see him tomorrow. The thought lifted his spirits, but he wanted to stamp it down. It wasn't like he needed the company. Jason did plenty of jobs where he was the only soul around. This one shouldn't be any different. Yet as Jason made his rounds, he could feel the emptiness of the space. He glanced down at his watch.
He had a long night ahead of him.

January 21
Rashidah has a day to herself for the first time in weeks. Her brother and sister are in school. Her Mom is in Sulani and the farm chores are done. She decides to go for a drive and ends up at a spot she used to hang out in high school - the mini mall in Newcrest. She sees Rahul the moment she walks in. She honestly isn't surprised to see him there, it is his favorite pizza place after all.
"Hey." He says quietly, making eye contact for a brief moment before looking off to the side. It's weird seeing her. They used to see each other almost everyday and then his Aunt had an affair with her Dad and it just went downhill after that.
Before Rashidah can even reply, Andrew is speaking "Dude, you gonna share that or just hold it forever?" He asks, referring to the twinkie his friend holds in his hand. They had ordered a pizza fifteen minutes ago but the lady who was supposed to be cooking it had sat down beside them and decided to talk to another customer. Good thing they hadn't paid yet.
Rahul snaps out of his emotions and makes eye contact with Andrew before shoving the entire twinkie in his mouth.
"Jerk." Andrew comments before looking at Rashidah. "Please ignore this ape's manners. Hi, I'm Andrew Ambrose."
Rashidah offers the man a brief smile. Ambrose, she wonders if he's related to Jillian Ambrose. "Hello. I'm Rashidah Watson." She greets him before looking back at her ex-boyfriend who is trying to chew the twinkie in his mouth without making a giant mess. "I need to talk to you actually...you know, when you're done with your quest to conquer twinkies."
Two minutes later...
"What's up?" Rahul asks, he decides to actually maintain eye contact this time. It would be rude to look at her stocking hat or the snow outside while he's talking to her. It's hard though, he used to love her face now it brings an ache to his heart.
"One of our chicken coops at the farm needs some repair and...well my Mom is out of town and I'm not handy at all..." She pauses, releasing a breath. Her Dad used to do all these things. Her Dad. The man who had an affair with Rahul's Aunt. That situation led to young couple breaking up. Once the news came out of the affair, all the couple did was fight. "Would you be able to look at it? We'd pay you."
"I'll do it but you don't have to pay me." Rahul tells her. Truth be told, he has regret when it comes to how things ended with the girl in front of him. He shouldn't have supported his Aunt but he felt he had to, since she took over raising him after his Mom passed away. If he can help her and her family out someway, he's happy to do it.
"Rahul..." Rashidah starts, shaking her head.
"It's cool, I'm happy to help. Really." He tells her with a small smile. To his relief, Rashiah finally relents and nods her head in acceptance.
"Wanna join us, Rashidah?" a voice calls out to them both. The duo had forgotten Andrew was even there.
The cook had finally went back to make their pizza. Normally Rashidah would just leave but she has to admit, it's kind of nice to be around people her own age again. Andrew is happy she's joined them as well, he thinks she's pretty and funny. It's been a rough few days. He hates that he was out of town when his sister gave birth to his nephew and that they almost lost them both from what his Dad said. He's tried to make up for his absence by going to see Jillian and Slade in the hospital everyday.
"Anchovies on pizza are nasty." Rashidah comments after Andrew asks her what topping she thinks should not go on pizza. He nods his head in agreement, while Rahul pulls up a chair to their table.
"Pineapple too." Rahul says, hiding a smirk.
"You leave my pineapple alone!" Rashidah says, fake glaring at him.
Most people would piece it together that maybe there was more to Rahul and Rashidah then friendship but Andrew doesn't see the signs.
"I like pineapple." Andrew says, granted he prefers it in a fruit bowl but he leaves it at that. Instead he clears his throat softly and takes his shot. "I know we just met but...Rashidah, would you like to do go out sometime?"
The silence descended until the cook slammed the oven door shut in the back of the kitchen.
"That's really sweet of you, Andrew." Rashidah starts. She feels bad she's about to turn him down. He seems like a cool guy. "I don't date. I have a lot going on with my family's farm and...I just don't have the time."
Both she and Andrew miss Rahul's shoulders sagging in relief beside them.

Cherry Bomb
Takami Estate | Present Night
"Aaakkkkiioooote," Sang Kuusek as he shut the door behind him and sauntered into the employee breakroom.
The lanky yellowblood slid their moonhat down their face and squinted at the bakeneko troll.
"Heard you totally made Glasya eat some dirt."
They sighed. "Close enough."
The squirrel troll pulled their hat over their face and continued to try to take a nap on the worn but still comfortable couch.
"Aw, c'mon, don't you want to brag about it?" He teased. "Must've felt good after how much Viltau pisses you off."
"It felt annoying." The taller troll deadpanned. "I want all these indigos to leave me alone."
Another maroon ducked in, slender and slightly shorter than the ghost handler, with wavy hair and light freckles.
"Well, Espino is trying...whatever he's doing...with the hive staff now." Lathti said with a shrug. "At least he's not yelling or threatening anyone."
"It's all bad, Lathti." Said the muffled voice of the estate's head gardener. "You haven't been here long enough to know."
The rust tilted their head.
"How so?"
"He's a liar and a manipulator."
They blinked.
"Of course. But until we know in what way, why waste energy getting mad at him?"
"Talking sense!" Kuusek said in a boisterously supportive tone, coming over to ruffle his coworker's hair, who neatly ducked away from him. The male maroon looked disappointed.
"Aw, why are you like that?"
Lathti merely smiled at him in a slightly unsettling fashion.
"I told you I don't want my hair touched."
A snort came from under the moonhat.
"Give it up, Kuusek." came Akiote's disdainful tone.
"Man." Complained the cat troll, throwing himself into an armchair and affecting a sulky pose, arms crossed and legs out on its footstool. "Every cute new employee is so cold."
Then he grinned.
"Bet Botani would like it if -"
"Kuusek."
"Yeah, okay, whatever." Muttered the ghost handler, waving a hand with slightly forced casual dismissiveness at the gardener's reprimand.
Lathti merely smiled again, and took a seat near the couch and pointedly not next to the other maroon.
"Botani is doing well." They said in a fond tone. "As long as she doesn't see me and get nervous, she's coming along very nicely with more complex commands for her animals."
Kuusek snickered.
"Down baaaaad."
Lathti ignored him, and Akiote sighed.
"As if you never had a silly crush when you were seven." The yellowblood accused.
"Sure I did." He agreed easily. "It's still funny. I can tell you're older than us too, Lath."
"A little." The other redblood agreed.
Kuusek raised his eyebrows.
"Not a draft dodger, huh?"
They shook their head.
"Only no one seems to know much about you." The bakeneko troll said in a casual tone.
Akiote sat up, taking their moonhat off and glaring at their coworker.
Lathti waved a hand at the squirrel troll, who reluctantly looked to the side instead.
"I can't blame Kuusek for being suspicious." They said. "It's true, I don't talk about myself often. I was...in captivity, let's say. It's not the most exciting story. Probably less than anything anyone could invent." They said with dry amusement.
Akiote and Kuusek both looked appalled, the yellowblood's eyes snapping back to their fellow.
"I...shit." The cat troll said, scratching his neck as his eyes darted around the room. "Sorry."
They shook their head.
"You didn't know. It was less terrible than many trolls have it, to be fair. I wasn't tortured or punished, or forced to do hard labor. It was...lonely." They said simply. "That was the worst part."
"I hope you aren't lonely here, Lathti." Said Akiote gently.
"You're very kind to me." They said, tone gentle and respectful. "It's much better than before."
The yellowblood noted the indirect answer, but nodded instead of pushing.
They paused, ears flicking up.
"Oh! Akiote, do you have those fruits for Kanako? I just need those, then you can nap."
"Sanata does already." They said, lying back down and putting their hat over their face again.
"Perfect, thanks." The maroon chirped, then got up and skipped off.
There was a few moments' pause.
"Weirdo." Kuusek remarked.
"You're one to talk." Muttered Akiote. "Now let me sleep or get out."
"Ah, Kiki, my lips are sealed. Here. I'll go out and guard the door for you."
The yellowblood sighed at their annoying nickname, but was reassured when they heard the rust get up and keep true to his word.
Irritating as he was, the bakeneko troll wasn't all bad, at least.
After a few minutes, the gardener slipped into a light doze, satisfied that they wouldn't be interrupted.

Know Who I Am || Andy & Teagan
TIMING: current. LOCATION: darkling lake. PARTIES: @closingwaters & @declinlalune SUMMARY: andy visits teagan. CONTENT WARNINGS: parental death, sibling death.
It was strange, being back at the lake without Leti in tow. But after Teagan had been attacked by yet another hunter, and after everything that went down with Leah and Nicole, Andy found it in her best interest to be honest with the nix, even if things were to go quickly south. She wanted to stay true to her word, that she didn’t want to hurt those around her. But by keeping her true nature a secret, wouldn’t it do just that? Even if Andy couldn’t sense Teagan, she still felt as though honesty were the best course of action here.
She paused just outside of Teagan’s door, not sure if the nix was inside or if she was in the lake. Andy wondered how many precautions she’d taken to stay safe, and hoped that there were a number of them. Luckily, she had had the foresight to let the fae know she was on her way. She lifted fist, knocking it gently against the wooden door. It was a little funny, she realized, that Teagan’s doorstep could hold memories for her now, despite only having been there once. She thought of Leti for a brief moment, silently wishing that the other woman had come with her. But this wasn’t the balam’s fight. It was hers. The door opened and Andy felt slightly relieved that she wouldn’t have to go to the water’s edge. “Hey, Teagan.” She didn’t invite herself inside, instead she stayed put. “Um– I just… I figured this would be better in person?”
The kidnapping and tail debacle had left its mark. Lucky for everyone though, death didn’t have a chance to reach anyone of importance. And really, Teagan knew better than anyone that death was never the end. It was only the beginning of a chain reaction that could catch you and tumble you around if one were not careful. Teagan was more than grateful that wasn’t the case. At least for now. In a place like Wicked’s Rest, a broken arm for Arden and a half a lost trail was, by far, luck shining on them. Much better than the doom and gloom of a stopped heart, as painful as it was to heal through, and Arden didn’t have the benefit of water speeding up the process.
Meanwhile, the nix had been keeping herself so busy that she hadn’t really given herself much room for anything other than chores. Most of which consisted of helping everyone involved with surviving the kidnapping. “Shit…” Teagan dropped a dollop of fruit on the floor, quickly wiping it up before getting her pie settled into the oven. The heat waved over her flesh and she had to blow a stray strand of her out of her face to keep from losing sight of the pie. A knock came to the door, and Teagan perked up, remembering the company she was going to have over. She ran to the door, opening it with an artificial grin.
“Well hello, lass!” The fae waved Andy inside, wiping her hands in her apron before giving her a tight hug. “There’s lovely for ya.” Teagan gestured to Andy and pulled her to the kitchen, talking as she walked. “You look like a right beaut. How’s the weather out there treatin’ ya?” With a swivel of her foot, Teagan plopped herself down onto her seat at the small dining table. “Go ahead and sit, and tell me what’s on your mind.” She propped her chin on her palm, ready to listen.
Andy’s determination to be something better than she was in the days after she, Nicole, and Leah had all been attacked started to sour as soon as Teagan wrapped her arms around her. She tensed slightly, moreso out of habit than because of any true discomfort. She still wasn’t sure how to give in to affection, much less from somebody she didn’t know all too well. But Teagan just seemed the type. It was nice to see her upright and with less blood, that was for sure.
As much as she would have liked to stay outside of the cabin in case Teagan took the reveal poorly, she couldn’t just stay outside. It was rude, wasn’t it? Andy tried to protest, to tell Teagan that she could only stay around for a bit, but the blonde was retreating and Andy found herself kicking her shoes off at the door to follow after her. “It’s nice, I mean, it hasn’t rained in a couple of days, so hiking is a little easier.” She chewed on the inside of her cheek as she watched the blonde fell into a chair as if it were the easiest thing she’d ever done. Andy was glad that the lake had worked quickly in mending all she had endured.
Andy glanced at the chair, weighing her options. She could remain standing and come across as rude, or she could take her seat and show Teagan that with her reveal, she meant no real harm. With a soft sigh, she took her seat. After she had spoken to Nicole and Leah, she figured this would be an easier way to go about things. But something in her ached, because Teagan had been attacked by warden’s twice already now, and to say that she too had been a hunter the entire time, it made her feel sick. “Sorry, I’m–” She folded her hands in her lap, nose twitching at the smell of butter, sugar, and fresh fruit baking in the oven. She could ask about what it was, ease into the conversation; randomly drop that she was a ranger in blood, but not in dreams? No, that was stupid. She cleared her throat, offering Teagan a small nod.
“I’m a ranger.” The words came out, poison across her tongue. They tasted sour, gnashing between her teeth as she clenched her jaw. She took a moment, quickly following up her statement for the fear that Teagan would take it for face value. “Born one, not one now. I still have the genes, I can sense shifters or whatever, all that shit, but I’m not one. At heart. At all.” It could have gone a lot worse, Andy realized. On her behalf, at least. Whether or not Teagan would be pleased with the information was another thing. “I just.. I wanted to tell you. Leti knows already, I told her. My other shifter friends do, too. I wanted to be honest with you.”
A breath hitched harshly, lodging into the dry throat and taking residence there. A ranger? This whole time? Teagan began to tremble, her bottom lip joining the rest of her body as the anxiety riled her up enough to lose control of her glamour. Her chair skidded across the floor, nearly clambering over as Teagan attempted to breathe. Whatever Andy continued to say was lost on her, muffled out by the ringing in her ear caused by panic.
On instinct, she reached for her blade, pointing the toward Andy as flashes of the hunter’s wicked smile attacked her mind. She tensed her grip, warning her to stay back. What was she doing? Andy couldn’t be a monster. Teagan only held it for a few breaths, finally registering what Andy had said. Born as a hunter, but had no heart to be one. That was different. That was new. Teagan remained silent, save for her labored breathing, and she tossed the knife to the side. She couldn’t let herself forget what Andy had done without hesitation. The ranger saved her. Hell, she’d gone out of her way to stay around despite being a complete stranger.
Teagan opened and closed her mouth, words unable to reach her tongue. Carefully, she decided to sit down again, doing her best to settle her lungs. “I’m sorry I pulled the knife out on you.” A sharp phantom pain spasmed where Teagan’s tail was, and she reached up to graze her fingers over the healed bone. She closed her eyes, fighting the tears as she swallowed past the ball in her throat. The whole thing felt like a betrayal, but Andy was being forthcoming and had been nothing but kind. She deserved the benefit of the doubt.
“It’s all instinct after...and fighting you—” Andy wasn’t part of that group, so it didn’t seem fair to group her with them. “That lot. Been fighting ‘em and hunting ‘em so long after what they did to my family. Not so much now, but I did—and that’s not you. You…you saved me. That means something, I think.”
Teagan got to her feet and Andy willed herself not to flinch as the chair scraped against the wooden floorboards that a couple of months ago now, she’d been cleaning Teagan’s blood off of. Her jaw worked against all of the things she wanted to say, but she didn’t want to embed her story into a version that Teagan may find palatable. Because that wasn’t what was important here. Just like with Leti, it had been the balam’s feelings that mattered in this situation, not her own.
It wasn’t the first time that a blade had been turned on her, and Andy knew it wouldn’t be the last. That in a town as dangerous as Wicked’s Rest, there were bound to be other ways to face the end of a knife, no matter how dull. She stared down it, then looked up to meet Teagan’s eyes. The fae looked terrified, as if she were reliving a thousand lifetimes where hunters had come to take from her. It made Andy sick. Not that she was being put into that instance with them, but that Teagan had had to face it at all. She had seen what the warden had done to her the first time, and to do something like that took the kind of heart Andy never had.
But as soon as the knife was there, it was gone. It clattered to the floor and Andy’s gaze swept over it before swiveling back to the blonde whose chest heaved. She wanted to comfort her, but what could she do? Whatever she did do might cause more distress. Maybe she should have brought Leticia with her. She could have acted as some kind of buffer; proof, even.
Finally, Teagan spoke. She apologized, which Andy hadn’t expected. “You don’t need to, and it’s not the first time it’s happened.” She neglected to explain that it’d been by family, the last time. Keira’s knife, to be exact. Andy watched Teagan silently as she worked through the information she had been given.
“You don’t… have to explain it to me, Teagan. I know what you’ve been through. I don’t blame you.” Because she was being hunted too, in a way. By the ranger that wouldn’t leave her alone, or her friends. “It does mean something, to you, to me.” She swallowed the knot in her throat, willing herself to stay level. Talking about who she was, as well as about who she didn’t want to be had brought up a lot of unresolved trauma for her, apparently. Who would have thought. “I don’t expect you to accept this right away, because I know it’s a lot, and…” She didn’t know exactly how terrifying it might be to Teagan, but she wanted to reassure the other woman. “I’ve never killed anything, not a shifter, at least. Anything else was self defense because I would be the one dying.” She thought about Alex briefly, wondered if she should give Teagan the tidbit of information, but would it matter to a non-shifter? Probably not. She decided not to take the route of being pathetic, and decided to let Teagan form her opinion around what she had already seen Andy do for her.
It was impressive. The self-restraint—the defiance Andy had to not adhere to the traditions her family must have tried to force on her. Teagan had heard the horror stories, how abusive the training was for hunters. She didn’t care before, but now? She cared deeply because it was Andy going through it in her mind. Andy, the woman who had saved her. Andy, the woman who didn’t dare flinch when she had a knife pointed at her. Andy…Teagan’s friend.
“No.” She paused, shaking her head with a chuckle that held no amusement. “You don’t know what I’ve been through.” Rage began to boil inside the nix, and her hands began to fist the fabric of her pants tightly. She wasn’t angry at Andy, or anyone in particular, it was general. Everything Teagan had collected over the years after her family’s tragedy. It had layered over itself countless times, until it weighed down any version of herself that once existed in Wales.
She would never be that child again, and she’d always have to live with the fact that she had become the very thing she loathed. “I watched my family be slaughtered, and I spent the rest of my life, up until now, hunting hunters. Being just as bad as them. Fuck…” Teagan breathed, wiping her eyes away harshly as she sniffled.
“I would’ve killed you without hesitation only a few weeks ago—and the…” The sinister hunter, but Andy didn’t need to be troubled with that. “The thought of hurting you makes my stomach ache because…” Andy, Teagan believed, was better than most people. “You’re a good person. Being a hunter by blood would’ve been enough for me, but I-I can’t even fathom—Fates, you came by to be honest!” A crisis was becoming a crashing wave within Teagan, her eyes filled with a cocktail of regret and relief. It was bittersweet.
“I appreciate you telling me. Given how I’ve spoken before and what I am, I know that wasn’t easy.” Her eyes met with Andy’s, warm and welcoming. “I don’t hate you. In fact, I’m in slight awe. How did you do it? I know the training ain’t easy or fair.”
Okay, maybe not the right words to say. She wasn’t good at this. Andy squeezed her hands tightly together, hoping the pressure of it might alleviate some of the anxiety that began to build in her chest. She could do this. She had already talked to Leah and Nicole who she put in actual harm’s way. Even if it turned out Teagan didn’t accept her for who she was and decided to put a stop to any friendship that could blossom, Andy wouldn’t blame her, and she wouldn’t feel sorry for herself, either.
So they had more in common than Andy had originally thought. She mulled it over; telling Teagan about her own experience. That the very thing she’d been taught to hate had torn her parents apart just in front of her, and that despite it all, Andy couldn’t find it in herself to hate shifters. They had been protecting their own, just as Teagan had been doing by fending them off. By hunting them. Maybe that should have made Andy feel some type of way, but with her own hunter issue, she could understand. Maybe not for fear for herself, but for Alex.
Instead, Andy sat in silence. She watched Teagan’s expression take the shape of something new– a sort of mourning that Andy only wore in the comfort of solitude. She refused to wear it, even now. The thought of dying by Teagan’s hand was a little laughable, only because she’d been so grateful when Andy had helped her out of the situation after the warden attacked. But she hadn’t known who she was then, only what Leticia had said. She hoped that Leti wouldn’t get into trouble with Teagan for not telling her. Maybe she would need to lie on her behalf. “I wouldn’t blame you.” But wouldn’t she? For thinking that she was as lowly as the warden who had tried to kill her? Andy would never do that. But it didn’t matter, she was seen as others wanted to see her, and sometimes there was no backing out of it. Wasn’t that the issue here? Two opposing forces imposing opinions of one another and it ending in some kind of bloodshed. “Okay, maybe a little.” She let out a soft breath, and at its end, it could have been mistaken for a laugh.
“I just felt like it was right. To tell you. I didn’t want to…” She thought of Leah and Nicole, tensing slightly. “I didn’t want it to end up badly. You finding out without me explaining it to you.” Not that explaining things could solve everything, but more times than not it had done so. “I didn’t want to lie to you.” Even if she technically wasn’t lying about anything at all. At Teagan’s question, Andy shook her head. “I lost my parents, too. I… watched them die in front of me, like you did.” However, Andy was finding it harder to mourn them with each passing day. “I was fourteen. I hadn’t agreed with all the shit before then, but after they died, I cared even less. Realized I didn’t blame the wolves who killed them ‘cause they were protecting themselves and their own.” Much like Teagan was. It was getting easier to tell the story, she realized, after the fourth go around.
They both had lost, their own devils dancing with demons until the fiddler’s tune came to a screeching halt. The bow serving well to swing over the strings and slice the sharp pitch to end any notion of a soft tone. Teagan sighed, “Only in a world so cruel can we take two instances of violence and turn it into something as beautiful as friendship.” She felt a bit of whiplash, going from her story, to Andy’s. She didn’t used to care for hunters, and most of the time, she still didn’t. Rather, she loathed them. All they did was take. But Andy? She gave, more than she had, it seemed.
Good riddance, Teagan huffed, a little too happy internally at the idea that Andy’s parents had died at the hands of the people they hunted. They didn’t see the shifters as such, but Andy did, and that made her infinitely better. She was more than worthy of existing and navigating her way into a happier life—without them because she wasn’t a hunter.
“Fourteen is much too young to lose your parents, even if they were shites. Kin is kin. Hard to fight such a bond.” Teagan twisted her mother’s ring on her finger, worrying the inside of her cheek. “Lost my man and a good chunk of my siblings when I was ten.” She couldn’t save her family, but Teagan found herself hoping that Andy was able to save the people she loved, if there was more to the attack. Hunters, Teagan learned, liked to procreate small armies if they could. Had Andy’s parents followed this trope? She couldn’t help but wonder.
“I appreciate you, Andy.” With a smile, the fae reached across the table and placed her hand atop Andy’s. She felt warm. She felt soft. She didn’t feel like a hunter. “All those muscles and that ain’t even that strongest part of ya.” Teagan hoped the joke would land. The two of them needed a break.
Her feelings towards her parents were beyond complicated. Alex mourned them, and when she was younger, had asked for stories about them. Andy did her best to give Alex what she wanted, but she hadn’t ever put any heart into it. Talking about them, remembering them– knowing what they would have done to Alex had they survived. They would have killed her, Andy was certain of it. That alone was enough for Andy’s opinion to cement itself, to ignore the pull towards a life she could have had had she been born into something normal. Because this was now her normal. And she was okay with it, even if it hurt more often than not.
“No kidding.” It was a little odd, being so wrapped up in tragedy. Everyone she had forged meaningful ties to had lost something, or themselves, in a way. Andy hated the idea that some of those around her could have lost in the way she had, but it brought them closer together. It was a new feeling, and an odd one at that. She was so used to only having Alex, that she wasn’t sure what to do with all of the support, spoken or not.
Andy frowned, looking down at her hands as Teagan explained she had lost her mother and siblings at ten years old. That was only a few years older than Alex had been, but even Alex didn’t quite remember everything that had happened that day. Or if she did, she never said so.
She felt too quiet, but at the same time, a little worried that if she spoke too loudly, she might disturb something that had settled between the two of them. She looked up at Teagan, a hesitant smile replacing the frown she wore. “I don’t know, I think they’re on par.” She hadn’t realized it, but her eyes were a little wet. She dabbed at them with the back of her hand and straightened up, finding that Teagan’s touch was comforting rather than violating. “I really am sorry I didn’t tell you sooner. I didn’t know a good time, and even now, I feel like shit just dropping it on you.” She could tell Teagan about Alex later. She didn’t want there to be more for the fae to pity her about. Not that there was anything to pity. Andy loved Alex, no matter what she’d been turned into. Just as she cared for her friends, despite what she’d been taught.
The edges of Andy’s eyes glinted with the hints of tears. A cocktail of sorrow, uncertainty, and regret. Likely a burning concoction that Andy wanted to hide away, but the red on her face blew any cover she attempted to have. Her apology was blatant on her skin.
“Oh, come now, lass.” Teagan’s voice trembled, still a bit at odds with her simmering rage and the painful sorrow she felt for her friend. “You had every right to be nervous. I don’t exactly make it easy to be honest about that. You’re fine. We’re fine.” Andy wasn’t a hunter. She shared their blood, but not their ideals, and that’s what mattered. It had to. If Teagan was going to be better, keep herself from turning into the monsters she hunted, she had to be able to tell the difference. Andy was that difference.
The timer rang, and the fae smiled, Fate blessing the pair with a small reprieve.
“Looks like a tasty snack is ready. It’s blueberry pie. Was making it for a little lady that really seemed to take to it, but I can always just invite her over for a slice instead. I think we could both use a piece of sweetness to settle our nerves.” Teagan winked, energy growing lighter now that the truth had been released and the two had reassured one another.
Andy wanted to laugh. Leave it to the fae with a penchant for hunting people like her to decide that right away, it was fine. It was all so fucked up that any of them had to experience this at all. She hated the lives they’d been born into. All she wanted was peace. Because the nix sitting across from her was a reflection of Alex, too. Because all that Teagan had gone through; Alex could go through it too at some point and that scared Andy to hell and back.
“Yeah, I guess.” She didn’t feel as nervous now. She hoped this wasn’t a trick. She didn’t know Teagan well enough, but the nix had thanked her, even though she’d rejected it. Andy mulled over the words she wanted to say, but didn’t want anything else to fall apart between them.
The timer went off and Andy nearly jumped out of her skin. She looked towards the oven, not even having realized the smell that had her mouth involuntarily watering. It’d been awhile since she had fell into her own thoughts rather than keeping track of her surroundings. “Oh, um– if you’re sure.” She gave Teagan a smile, feeling the weight life momentarily off of her. She hadn’t expected Teagan to be so forgiving. She had expected the glint of the knife to stay under her chin for longer. “Thanks, Teagan. For hearing me out.” Even though she knew there was a weight to her words, especially within the other’s company, she figured owing the other a favor would only further cement that every word she had said, she meant.

Someone to Watch Out for You: Chapter 10
Home is Where the Nightmare Is
Summary: In which Ventus returns to the Destiny Islands, and meets several familiar faces. Word Count: 2,191 First | Previous | Next ☆ ⚬ ☆ ⚬ ☆ ⚬ ☆ ⚬ ☆ ⚬ ☆ ⚬ ☆ ⚬ ☆ ⚬ ☆
His heart led him to the island, but he had no idea as to why. It was very warm here. Something also struck Ventus as incredibly familiar too. Had he been here before? This particular island didn't seem to have anyone else on it. Off in the distance was a larger one by the looks of it- maybe that was where all the residents were? For now, he was more than content on staying on this side of the islands. Maybe if he could find a boat, he’d head on over, but that would probably ruin whatever the rules of world order were here.
Ven idly walked his way down the shoreline. The sun was warm against his skin- at any moment he could have laid down and taken a nice nap. Eventually, he paused when he noticed something yellow was brought in by the tide. As it got closer, the object in question was a fruit. Star shaped with a patch of green from the stem, Ven realized what it was after a few moments of thought. He bent down to pick it up and almost laughed.
So this was the paopu Aqua based their Wayfinders on? Maybe he'll keep it. A physical reminder on a promise to return sounded pretty serendipitous right now than to just leave it behind. Besides, if local legends were true, there was someone who he'd like to try it out on. Even though she would probably hate it, but that made it all the more better.
Figuring that this was all the world had to offer him, Ventus started to head back to his Gummi Ship.
“Naw, leaving so soon Ventus? We hardly had time to reconnect with each other.”
The voice, familiar in the faintest of ways for the past half decade, made Ven freeze. The boy spun on his heel and immediately drew his attention up to the bridge connecting the main portion of the island to the smaller one with the paopu tree.
“Vanitas!” Ventus exclaimed, immediately going into defense.
“So nice of you to remember me,” the masked boy sneered. “We didn’t have much time together all those years ago. I was almost afraid I had gotten replaced.”
“Why are you here, now?” Ven then spat.
“My, how much you’ve grown -such a backbone!- and you haven’t even aged a day. Funny how that all works. Lemme guess, you chickened out in a world where time flows slower? Lucky.”
“Do you have a point to all this?”
“Of course I do.” Vanitas claimed with a flick of his wrist. “Don’cha want to know where I went after nearly killing your friend? Or do you not care anymore, now that you’re routinely sneaking off with that princess of yours? Aren’t knights traditionally chaste? What a bad one you are. But I digress.”
Vanitas’s cruel laugh sent a chill up Ven’s spine. The former took one look at the latter and laughed even more. Without warning he leapt off the bridge, landing just a hair away from Ventus.
“I can feel every emotion you can. Live your life through the ties you feel with others.” Vanitas hissed as he stepped closer to Ven. Ven kept him just out of reach with anxious half steps backwards. “The kid has too. He’s been a good little hiding place- maybe even just as good as yours. His heart was pretty warm before I came along.”
Ven stood straighter.
“What did you do?” he hissed at the dark entity in front of him.
“Me?” Vanitas repeated in mock offense. “What did I do? Perhaps you should be asking yourself the same thing, Ventus. How does it feel knowing you made a kid question his sexuality at the ripe age of 7?"
Ven quickly withdrew his Keyblade and tried to take a strike at Vanitas. Unfortunately, Vanitas had been anticipating this and disappeared just before the hit could connect. His snickering laughter echoed around Ven. It boiled Ven’s blood so much that he immediately set out to find where Vanitas went. He scoured whatever he could reach on that island, but he found nothing.
"Where did he go?" Ven mumbled to himself as he looked around. His attention was eventually brought back to the islet holding the paopu tree. Someone was sitting on the tree's crooked trunk. Without a second thought, he went straight to the detached plot of land.
It was with a start that he realized Sabrina was sitting there.
"Hey stranger." he greeted with a smile. Sabrina did not respond. In a way, he hadn't expected her to. Instead, Ven got up on the tree trunk with her. The two sat in silence as they watched the sun scan over the islands' horizon. There was a comfort in doing this- a routine that made life seem much longer.
"Are you sure we should leave?" Sabrina eventually asked. Her voice was steady, if a bit hard to read. "What if we never come back?"
Ven placed his hands behind him so he could lean back a bit.
"Well, I guess it's not an adventure without some risk." he mused. "Right?"
"I guess."
Ven sighed. She had a lot of moments like this since they first got the idea. One day she'd be all for it, the next she'd question if they should leave at all. Not that they could do it right away. School was the biggest obstacle. They'd have to try in the summer when none of them were doing things with their families.
Ven's fingers lined the paopu resting in his pocket. Maybe he should give it to her now while no one else was looking.
His thoughts were put on hold when her fingers gently brushed against his. Ven's face quickly flushed red as he turned to her. In turn, Sabrina also turned to look at him. As her eyes bore into his, Sabrina’s appearance flashed to someone else completely. A girl, maybe 11 or 12, with short red hair and the oddest purple-blue eyes.
“K-----?” Ven questioned, but was immediately taken aback. The image of this redhaired girl and Sabrina flickered back and forth as she -they- got up from the tree’s trunk. Every time Ven blinked, they were further and further away. It felt like he was watching an image glitch in and out of existence. It was incredibly disorienting, and almost made him a bit sick.
“Wait!” Ven called out as he tried to follow them.
The girl looked back at him for a moment before glitching into the seaside shack. Ven didn’t hesitate to go after them. However, instead of Sabrina or that redhaired girl being there, a boy who also looked about 11 or 12 stood in the center of the otherwise empty space.
“Hey there kiddo,” Ven greeted. Maybe there were other people on this island after all. “What’s your name?”
For a long time, the kid didn’t respond. It gave time for Ven to notice how spikey the kid’s brown hair was. Was it natural? Not that Ven was one to speak much on hair that laid flat.
“Sora.” the kid finally said in a single breath.
“Sora?” Ven repeated with a smile. “That’s a nice name. Did you know that it means sky? I have a friend whose name means princess, and guess what? She really is! In title only, haha…”
The boy did not respond. He continued to stare straight ahead, his eyes faintly glossed over as if there was something only he could see.
“Sora?”
"I can feel it." the kid quietly told him. "I can feel how scared you are right now."
Ven couldn’t help but recoil.
“Is it because of Vanitas?” he carefully asked. “Because he and I are tied close together, and he’s been using you as the link to keep us together?”
Sora gave a small nod.
“Vanitas.” he said, his voice sounding a bit too dark at the name. "Sometimes I feel really mean because of Vanitas. I don't know it when I'm awake, but when I'm asleep, it's like reliving the same nightmare over, and over, and over, and over..."
It was then that Sora looked up at Ven. There were tear stains on his face with fresh tears beginning anew.
"Why did you hide, Ven?” the 12 year old asked, his words getting caught in his throat. “Why did you choose not to follow fate? I'm scared, Ven. I'm... so... so… scared..."
Ven leapt back in terror as Sora's face started to melt away. Underneath of it was the emergence of a terrible creature completely created in darkness. It shed off Sora's skin like a snake, leaving an empty husk behind on the ground.
“It CoUlD hAvE bEeN YOU…!” Sora’s shadow rasped as it made a grab for Ven. Ven slammed against the wall, desperately trying to feel for the door as the shadow crept closer. Just as the creature lunged for Ven’s head, he was able to open the door and tumble back out onto the main island.
"So nice to have you back." Vanitas taunted from somewhere behind Ven. "Did you enjoy your little chats?"
Ventus got back to his feet, wildly looking around for the mysterious menace. Vanitas was standing there near the shoreline. His mask hid his face, but Ven knew he was sneering at him.
"If it's a fight you want Vanitas, then it's a fight you'll get!" Ven shouted, jumping down so they were on equal ground.
"Finally." Vanitas whined before he pulled out his Keyblade. Ventus very quickly did the same.
The two rushed toward each other in a perfect mirror. Vanitas very frequently disappeared in traces of static to attack Ven from above. More often than not, Ventus's speed came in handy with dodging them. The ferocity of their battle kicked up enough sand to send it flying. Vanitas tried more than once to place Ven in direct line of the debris, but he was able to avoid the majority of it.
"Why Sora?" Ventus demanded when an attempted attack made their Keyblades connect in deadlock.
"Why not Sora?" Vanitas questioned with a sadistic head tilt. "He was close enough."
"Close enough?"
Vanitas laughed, almost being able to connect an attack at point blank range. As he continued his attempts to pummel Ventus from every direction he could think of, Vanitas started to monologue. His distraction earned more than enough time for Ventus to get several scrapes in the process.
“When Master Xehanort split us into two, your weak little heart couldn’t handle the strain. You were almost lost in the light. But the master took you to an island he had spent time in as a kid- this island. And what should happen then but a newborn heart, one that already felt like connecting to others. That was Sora’s heart, Ventus. Sora was your second chance. And look at how you’ve repaid him.”
“Shut up!” Ven demanded right before slinging his Keyblade right at Vanitas's head. To both of their surprise, the attack rang true. Vanitas fell to the ground, hitting the sand with a loud thud. He remained there long enough that Ven ventured close enough to make sure he was down for good.
Ventus got put on guard when Vanitas simply laughed it off. The masked boy simply leaped back up again. But this time, he did not pull his Keyblade out. Instead, he gave a slow clap.
"Looks like your training wasn't all for nothing." Vanitas approved. "You really have changed."
"So you're just giving up?" Ventus spat. "What happened to the whole 'we have to fight to form the χ-blade' thing?"
"This one doesn't count," Vanitas smugly informed him. "The time for that has long passed. But we will meet again in the flesh one day. Bet your pitiful little life on it."
Vanitas let out a demented laugh as he disappeared again. By the time Ven realized Vanitas had reappeared right behind him, the masked boy had already struck him down.
. . .
Ven woke suddenly, as if all of this had just been a bad dream, laying on his back near the shoreline. The waves gently lapped around his ankles without any sense of harm. He squinted as the sun shined almost directly in his eyes. As he carefully worked himself up, he could still feel the paopu in his pocket. After all that happened, he almost considered leaving it behind.
He did end up pulling it out. The yellow fruit simply sat in his hand. No images of a mysterious half or a tired boy came to mind. Everything was, and felt, normal. However, he knew the situation was different now.
“I’ll free you from Vanitas, Sora.” Ven promised to the paopu. The real Sora would have been on the main island right now, but it would have been incredibly disorienting for everyone involved if Ven said this to him in person. “I don’t know when, and I don’t know how, but I promise it. You don’t deserve to live in the shadow of my mistakes.”
Feeling resolved at this new resolution, Ventus left the Destiny Islands.

Plums
Word Count: 630
Character(s): Sanji, Robin, Suma (OC), Luffy, Zoro, Chopper, Franky, Usopp, Nami
Author's Note: This is based on The Orange by Wendy Cope & the Orange Peel Theory. I have a lot of thoughts about Suma & how she is with the Strawhats. This takes place between Thriller Bark & Fishman Island.
─── ・ 。゚☆: .☽ . :☆゚. ───
They had stopped at a small island for a supply run. Luffy had run the moment they tied the ropes and dropped anchor, dragging Zoro along with the promise of finding someplace to eat. Nami had escaped, as well; off to shop for new inks and parchments to continue to track their progress. Chopper stuck close to herself and Robin while Usopp and Franky worked on cleaning the deck of the Thousand Sunny- giving it a good, proper scrub down.
Sanji wandered with them through the market, picking up some things for lunch. A small picnic, something calm and peaceful after the chaos that they had gone through lately. Suma paused at a fruit stand, her gaze wandering over the ripe grapefruits, the oranges the size of her palms, the peaches that begged to be picked and eaten. Sanji gathered a few, murmuring that they would be perfect when paired with this cheese he’d found. Robin gathered a small bushel of strawberries- and a slightly larger bushel of blueberries and blackberries for Chopper, much to his delight.
Suma smiled. This was nice. This was peaceful.
She bought herself a large plum. It was funny, really, how large it was. She swears she’d never seen one quite so big, not when compared to the others in the crate. The stand owner laughed, claimed that it was a lucky fruit. She believed him, believed his cheery smile and his rosy cheeks and the way he’d been so pleased that they had stopped.
They settled in a shaded spot on the grass, waiting for the rest of their crew to return. There, Robin peeled the ridiculously large plum for her despite her saying that she could do it. (“But you hate the way the peel gets under your nails,” Sanji had reminded her, handing his knife over to Robin, who set about peeling away.). She couldn’t argue. She took half; Robin and Sanji shared a quarter each.
Suma hadn’t thought a plum could make her so happy, but lately, ordinary things had done so. Made her happy in ways she couldn’t really understand. Early mornings when she and Zoro were starting to head to bed after watching the ship through the night, when the sky was painted with soft pinks and deep purples. Or the laughter that Luffy brings as he sits atop the lion’s head. How Robin had finally relaxed once more, how she looked when Franky spoke to her. Little things.
This sort of peace is new to Suma. A life of fear, of not knowing what the next day would bring, what threat would be directed towards her. No longer hopping ship to ship to get to port. It was nice; a change she hadn’t anticipated but not one that she was angry about.
The rest of their day was easy. They cleaned up, gathered their provisions, returned to the ship. She settled in the kitchen with Sanji, helping to prepare for dinner. She handled the baking; he handled the meats. After, she went down to help Robin with their laundry, taking care of folding the clothes she knew would end up tossed about when Nami couldn’t find what she wanted, or when Luffy would toss them away carelessly. It was the thought that counts, really.
After, she sat that night by the wheel. Zoro was on the deck below, talking with Luffy quietly as the moon began to rise high into the sky. Nami stood behind her at the wheel; Usopp coming up to offer her modified climate staff back. Robin sat with Franky quietly upon the steps, lost in their own world. Sanji and Chopper sat, eating the berries Robin had bought earlier.
‘I love this,’ Suma thought to herself. ‘I love you all. I’m glad to exist.’

“I didn’t.” – that was definitely her honest reply. Nunnally didn’t forget 'modest'. Not at all – “If wanted to add 'modest', I would.” – Nunnally knew he was joking. Nunnally knew it was a hidden (or open) critique of her over-confidence, but did she care? Not really. She suspected Duncan didn’t want to be mean. Rather he was teasing. But yet she was going to give him an honest reply – “I think modesty is overrated. They tend to tell girls they should be nice and quiet, but they hardly ever tell that to boys. That’s unfair.” – she was adamant about it.
“I was never told that at home, though.” – she added to be fair; though she needed not to. Her home was odd, and certain rules were there (the rules she didn't like). And she had learnt them the hard way. But that was nothing she wanted to share with Duncan – “So…” – she laughed – “I am not modest. Why should I?” – a small pause – “And you shouldn’t be, either.”
“Anyway, I am who I am. And I am not going to change…if I don’t have to…” – because she knew there were times in life when one had no choice but to adjust. No matter how strong one hated something. Although she wasn’t to discuss these issues any longer. She and Duncan had just met and there was no reason to dig too deep in their lives – “But you wouldn’t like me to change…” – she laughed – “I am perfect even with that lack of modesty.”
She giggled when he stated his price. Nunnally nodded. She could definitely pay for their food. She didn’t mind. His pride was so…funny. He made such a big deal out of that silly meal. But she wasn’t the one to tell him that either. She understood that pride might have been the only thing one had in life. Despite all the differences between them (as there were many; she wasn’t that naïve not to notice them), sometimes (like him?) she was left with nothing but her pride.
Nunnally nodded: --
“Good.” – she joked – “And since I do enjoy your company, and I am planning to spend a lot of time with you, I will need to feed you well.” – she sighed and shook her head in a pretended exasperation. She liked him; she thought for… Nunnally actually lost count of how many times she thought she enjoyed this meeting.
“How could a sweet and tiny girl like me bring any trouble into your life?” – she asked innocently, but of course she was teasing – “But no, I don’t plan to. Though sometimes troubles seem to find me. Oh well, you shouldn’t worry about it too much, though. I usually manage to survive. Somehow.” – she took his shoulder and urged him to move.
“Come on! I am starting to get hungry. And salads can be truly filling. Don’t expect I only stick to lettuce… You wouldn’t imagine so, would you?.” – she laughed; she was not tall (but neither was he), and she was a bit underweighted (but nothing serious), so he could imagined she cared more about food and eating habits than Nunnally truly did – “And I don’t like deserts…” – she added to reinforce the picture of her Duncan might be having in his mind – “Watermelon or some other fruit is what works for me.” – she was partially joking, but Nunnally didn't have a sweet tooth.
She shrugged: --
“You can have all the money, but if you eat alone, it’s not really fun. It’s more important who you eat with than what you eat.”
“All right then. So it’s all you can eat sea food. There’s a place that you might like. I mean I’ve never been there, but it looks cozy and is often full of people. We can as well try it out together…”
“Though all you can eat is such a waste on me…”

May I request you writing a fic where Wanda Maximoff trains a new shy avenger who doesn’t laugh a lot and Wanda accidentally finds out that the reader is EXTREMELY ticklish and she thinks it’s very funny and she pins him/her down and tickles the reader to get him/her to laugh and open up to her?
This was so much fun to write!
Thanks to all of you guys who've recently sent in requests!
(Y/n) Stark had to be the shiest person any of the Avengers had ever met, and that hadn't changed when the young woman had joined the Avengers.
Now, the youngest Stark is nothing like her father. Where Tony was loud and obnoxious, (Y/n) is shy and not once had anyone, not even her mother, Pepper, nor her father had once heard (Y/n) laugh.
The young Avenger had only smiled in the presence of someone that wasn't her parents added up to a grand total of three times, and they had all been directed by her godmother Natasha. Once was because Natasha had gotten (Y/n) the exact gift she'd wanted without telling the former assassin. The second has been when (Y/n) was five and she'd left her favorite bear at her parent's house, and Natasha had taken (Y/n) to Build-A-Bear to make a new bear. The third had been the time when (Y/n) was sick - Tony and Pepper were at work like always - and Natasha is tasked with caring for the youngest Stark; Natasha had snuggled with her goddaughter, bring forth the third and last smile Natasha had seen from the girl, a grateful, loving smile that had Natasha cuddling (Y/n) closer.
Then Wanda Maximoff had entered the picture.
At first, (Y/n) had treated the newest Avenger with the same attitude as the other, but after a month or so, (Y/n) had warmed up to the witch.
The two young women are having their twice-a-week movie night when Wanda brushes (Y/n)'s side with a hand as she reaches for the bowl of popcorn.
"I'm sorry!" Wanda says hastily but smiles slightly when she catches (Y/n)'s lips quirks into the slightest smile and she hears the soft giggle escape them. "Oh, the quietest Avenger is ticklish?" Wanda teases, wiggling her fingers playfully.
"No, no I'm not," (Y/n) protests, her slight smile still betraying her.
Wanda grins, tackles (Y/n), and digs her fingers into (Y/n)'s ribs.
"W-wan-nda-a!" (Y/n) laughs, unable to stop herself. "S-st-to-op!" she exclaims, still laughs hysterically.
The door to (Y/n)'s room slams open and five Avengers and a mother are framed in the doorway, staring dumbfounded at the scene in front of them: Wanda straddling (Y/n)'s waist, fingers still dug into (Y/n)'s ribs, and, possibly the strangest part of the situation is the fact that (Y/n) is still laughing.
"I thought someone had died," Pepper says softly.
"This might be stranger though," Tony continues, just as soft as his wife, the six backing out of the room, silently closing the door behind them.
Wanda, still grinning, settles back down on the bed beside (Y/n), and (Y/n) sits up, her cheeks still red.
"Do I win a prize?" Wanda asks teasingly.
"What would you like?" (Y/n) asks, a soft smile creeping onto her face.
"Why do you never smile or laugh?" Wanda asks, turning to study (Y/n) closely.
(Y/n) silently considers the question, a thoughtful expression crossing her face. Then she speaks, "I guess it's because my parents were always at work when I was younger, and I was always left with Nat. Don't get me wrong, I love Natasha, but sometimes I just want to spend time with them. They were just always gone."
Wanda replies curiously, "Why didn't you just tell them?"
"I'm shy, I guess that played a part in it," (Y/n) pauses. "But I guess it's also the fact that I didn't want to disappoint them."
"(Y/n), you're not disappointing anyone, not now, not ever," Wanda says fiercely. "They want what's best for you - making sure you have everything you could ever want."
"Wanda, I-I," (Y/n) falters, notice the emotion behind the witch's words. "Thank you," (Y/n) finally settles with, turning back towards the TV.
(Y/n) leans against Wanda slightly, the popcorn bowl resting in (Y/n)'s lap. The youngest Stark is feeling a lot better with all that she'd told Wanda off her chest.
The next morning, (Y/n) wakes up, determined to make today a good day.
(Y/n) is the first one downstairs, and she's the one who makes breakfast - waffles, pancakes, sausage, bacon, and sliced fruit.
(Y/n) greets Natasha with a warm hug and a stack of waffles with sliced strawberries on top, and the former assassin smiles, (Y/n) returns the smile shyly.
(Y/n) greets the remainder of the Avengers with shy, nervous smiles, and their choice of breakfast.
The atmosphere is a lot more relaxed this morning, (Y/n) thinks as she sits down beside Wanda, and when the witch smiles warmly, (Y/n) returns it.
Wanda is helping (Y/n) clean up the breakfast dishes, the other Avengers having moved into the training room when Wanda turns to ask (Y/n) a question. "(Y/n)?" (Y/n) turns to meet Wanda's gaze. "Would you want to, maybe, only if you want to," Wanda falters as if she's nervous, and (Y/n) smiles reassuringly at the witch. "Would you like to go out with me? It's okay if you don't want to," Wanda asks hastily. "It's up -"
"Wanda!" (Y/n) interupts. "Wanda, I'd love to go out with you."
"Wait, really?" Wanda asks, her eyes wide with disbelief.
"Wanda, you helped bring out a side of myself that even I've never seen before, that was all you," (Y/n) says. "Talking about the thing we talked out yesterday, or," (Y/n) cracks the slightest smiles, "what you forced out of me yesterday, made me realize that, despite what I thought, my parents to want me around."
"I'll pick you up in the lobby at 5'o'clock?" Wanda asks and (Y/n) nods.
"See you soon," (Y/n) says, placing a soft kiss on Wanda's cheek.
At 5'o'clock, (Y/n) and Wanda meet in the lobby of the Compound.
"You look really nice," Wanda tells (Y/n), and the young Stark flushes. (Y/n) is wearing a pair of dark jeans, a mint green t-shirt, a dark green leather jacket that must've belonged to Natasha, and a pair of black tennis shoes.
"I-I, wow," is (Y/n)'s response as she gazes at Wanda. The witch is wearing a black dress with a red leather jacket, and a pair of black, knee-high leather boots.
Wanda chuckles taking (Y/n)'s hand gently in her own before she leads the Stark out to a waiting car - a familiar black Corvette Stingray.
Wanda opens one of the back doors and (Y/n) slides into the car.
"Hello, Miss Stark, Miss Maximoff," says Natasha Romanoff, who Wanda had recruited - not that it took a lot of convincing - to be their chauffeur for the night.
"Oh, hi Nattie," (Y/n) greets her godmother.
Natasha smiles at the girl before she starts the car, driving to their destination.
"This is beautiful," (Y/n murmurs, gazing at all the light strung through the gazebo. "And how'd you figure out all my favorite foods - paprikash, roasted potatoes; beef stroganoff," albeit an interesting assortment of food. "Nattie used to make me a ton of eastern European and Russian dishes when I was younger. You use your powers?"
"I like to ask permission when I use them. I took a guess, and well, Nat helped me a little," Wanda admits. "I also went with a few of my own favorites."
(Y/n)'s phone dings partway through the dinner, and (Y/n) glances apologetically at Wanda before she glances down at the phone beside her plate at the table.
"It's Nattie," (Y/n) says.
Nattie: How's it going 😀 ❤️ Having fun?
Me: Haha ❤️ You've been in on this all day and you haven't told me 🥺 ❤️
(Y/n) glances over to the car and smiles at her godmother, who smiles lovingly in return.
A sleepy (Y/n) rests against Wanda on the quiet ride back to the Compound; Wanda smiles, her green eyes sparkling.
Wanda sends Natasha a grateful smile and walks (Y/n) up to her room.
"I had a really nice time," (Y/n) says with a sleepy smile. "Can we do something tomorrow? Maybe see a movie?"
"I'd love to," Wanda beams.

Dandelions and buttercups
Cleo had to hand it to him: Xisuma was a damn good gardener.
I mean, that was kind of to be expected, what with X being the server's beekeeper since season 6 and all that, but still, damn.
Various vines trailed the fence posts lining the path, dappled with fruits like raspberries and blackberries and glowberries. The fields nearby were bountiful: overgrown with grass, the wheat standing tall and proud in the fields, it was surely a haunt of rabbits and snakes and other such creatures.
Fall was coming fast, but for now, this place was flourishing. She'd dropped by for some bone meal (being a zombie, she was in constant need of bones), which somewhat explained the fields' bountifulness.
"Hello, Cleo," said X cheerfully as he opened the door. "Good morning. I hope the incline wasn't too hard on your knees?"
"Oh, no," said Cleo, walking inside. The door clicked shut behind her. Inside, the room was well-lit and decorated with various oddities, most of them of the bone sort. "You would have heard if my knees were disagreeing with me."
"Indeed I would have," said X, walking into the kitchen. Cleo took a seat on a slightly battered green couch and caught her breath, cane propped up on the armrest next to her. From the kitchen: "Tea?"
"Sure," said Cleo. "Have honeysuckle?"
"Mm, looks like I'm out," said X's voice from the kitchen. "Does mint work?"
"It does," said Cleo.
It was quiet for a bit as X shuffled around his kitchen to prepare the tea. Cleo looked up at the roughly vaulted ceiling- the skull cap of some huge ancestral dragon, she assumed. She vaguely wondered how X got it all the way up there.
"Your fields are looking nice," she offered. "Who knew that plants ate bones?" (She did, actually. But it was a funny joke.)
"Thank you," said Xisuma, setting down a cup of tea onto a toaster and dropping casually into a nearby armchair. "They're almost ready to be harvested. And funnily enough, they are indeed hungry for bones! I assume that's why you dropped by today?"
"Yep," said Cleo. "I'll pay you extra to deliver it yourself." She patted her pockets, which clinked.
"Oh, no, the delivery comes free," said X, taking a sip. "We've been over this. I'm not going to let you pay me for something that you physically can't do yourself."
"Always the gentleman," chuckled Cleo, taking a large gulp of (still scalding) mint tea. "Not like I'd object to not paying for something anyways. Also, this is completely unrelated, but your flowers are looking nice for this time of year."
"I'm planning on moving most of them to the greenhouse," said Xisuma, inclining his head towards the far window, through which a neat little greenhouse could be glimpsed. "I need to expand it soon, but I'm too busy with other things right now. Might end up giving most of the other flowers away. It'll make the server a bit brighter, y'know?"
"I'll take a vase or two," said Cleo. "My flower crown's actually looking a bit wilty. I might stick some more up there." She patted the circlet atop her head, which tilted slightly. X nodded. "I have some buttercups," he said, standing up. "Those have good thick stems."
"Dandelions are good for knotting the crowns together too," said Cleo. "I think yellow would be good to match autumn."
"I have both," said X, pausing at the side door and turning around. "Are you coming with?"
"Sure," said Cleo, heaving herself off of the couch with a short 'oomph.'
They walked outside together under the fall sun, old friends, laughing and joking. In the forests, the leaves shifted, almost imperceptibly, to the colors of a dying flame. Flowers. Bones. Wheat.
It was going to be a good autumn, Cleo thought.

Hi!!! Can I request fluffy HC for Marco, Smoker, & Crocodile w/ a female reader who’s very shy and is trying to hint that she likes them but didn’t have the courage to fully confess?
Of course! 💐
Shy Reader Headcannons
<Marco,Smoker,& Crocodile x Fem!reader>
๑ Marco
Marco had always caught your eye, with his high rank and powerful devil fruit. You were amazed by it the first time you saw him fight.
As much as you wanted to get closer to him, your shyness stopped that from happening. The most you would interact with him was when the crew was drinking or the occasional “Good morning”.
You went so far as to go out of your way to mutter good morning to him every day just for the sake of trying to start a conversation. You also tried to stay near him whenever you could.
And while your advances were mediocre at best because of your shyness, Marco caught on soon enough.
He watched you struggle to try and initiate a conversation with him, he thought it was cute. He eventually started talking to you just a bit more than usual, which surprised you.
After letting this go on for about a month, he decided it was time for a confrontation.
“Is there a reason you’ve been trying to get closer to me?”
Your heart dropped. You knew how smart he was, but you didn’t exactly plan for him to catch on so quickly. You stay quiet, not really knowing how to respond.
He stares back at you, waiting for an answer. You want to confess to him but you just couldn’t, and you felt so weak in the moment.
You quickly mutter something about liking him before trying to run off to your cabin, but stopped when he grabs your shoulder.
You look back and see him smirking- what was so funny about this?
“You like me-yoi?”
Your face flushed immediately. You nod, too embarrassed to speak. You look away only to look right back when you hear him snickering.
“Why don’t we go out for drinks when we reach the next island?”
๑ Smoker
You adored Smoker, but you knew that chances of ever getting with him were near impossible.
You always did your best to make sure you were near him when nobody was around- getting him food or coffee when he was swamped with work and stuck in his office.
He deeply appreciated it, but he still kept his cold facade. You had an idea that he liked it since he never kicked you out, but you weren’t too sure.
You tried multiple times to ask him out, but usually they ended with you covering it up quickly when met with a confused stare.
He has a bit oblivious, which only made it harder for you to try express your love for him.
You did everything you could to let him know you were crushing on him without your shyness getting in the way.
It was another night while he was swamped with work that he realized what was going on. He waited until you came with a coffee for him to talk to you.
“Are you doing this out of your own kindness or is it something more?”
You started sweating a bit. As much as you wanted him to know that you liked him, him actually questioning the intention of your actions was much more nerve wracking.
You stutter out that it was something more, and you’re met with a blank stare. Hasn’t he ever had this happen to him before?
You pause for a second before asking him if he wanted to maybe hang out when he’s not busy with work.
“Sure.”
๑Crocodile
When you had seen him around Alabasta, it felt like your breath had been taken away.
He was tall, handsome, and smart.
You usually saw him outside of the giant casino, which he seemed to own.
You couldn’t stop thinking about him, which led you to Rain Dinners. You weren’t even the type to gamble, you were only there for him.
You frequently visited just to get a look at him, and if you were lucky, talk to him too. He seemed to take a bit of interest in you after seeing you almost every week.
You always got a bit shy talking to him, but he always brought the best out of you in those small chats.
He started buying you a drink from the bar whenever you met up. You felt like you were getting somewhere with this.
When you had finally tried (and failed) to ask him out, he had a grin on his face. You waited nervously to see if he would say anything.
“Of course, why don’t we go out for dinner tonight?”
Hoooooly shit these took me forever lmfao. You definitely had me stumped with these! Glad I got them out of the way though- even with my struggling, these were super fun to write and forced me to be more creative! Thank you for your request, have a nice day! ٩(^‿^)۶

The Kitchen is Home | Wanda Maximoff x Reader
Wanda is grief-stricken over the death of her brother. She’s far from home and reclusive. All you want to do is make her favorite foods. Fluffy.
Word Count: 2.096
Make no mistake. You weren't an Avenger. You were their cook. The job was a simple one, prepare the meals (if need be) and stock their fridge. No riff raff. Nothing fancy. Honestly, the most exciting thing was when Wanda and Vision arrived. You thought she was quite pretty if a bit reserved. She barely left her room. Didn't go on many missions. 'Give her time,' Steve had told Tony.
None of that was your concern. You just wanted to know what food she liked.
Most of the Avengers filled out a form or told you themselves what they enjoyed. When Bruce was around, he liked it when you made him protein and fiber rich dinners. Steve was a simple guy who made his own meals, always apologized before asking you to grab him something from the store. Natasha liked the fruit parfaits and pelmeni you cooked. Vision was quick to tell you he didn't exactly enjoy food.
Wanda? Nothing.
"What're you making?" Natasha walked into the kitchen. Her boots clicked against the rough tile.
You looked up from your bread. There was blood on her cheek. "Back from a mission?"
She nodded and rounded the island to stand next to you.
"Struuji," you said slowly. Apple dumplings. A desert common in the Balkans.
"Struklji," Natasha corrected. She grinned at the food. That little knowing half-smirk she always did. "They look good. I'm guessing you're making them for our newest Sokovian."
"Well, she hasn't exactly filled out the form or gotten back to me-"
"Mhm."
"- so I thought I'd just make some food. Make her feel at home."
"Uh huh."
You paused. Natasha wasn't even listening. She was just staring at the food.
"I'll make you some, too."
Her face brightened. "You're too sweet. Thank you, Y/N."
When the struklji was done, you made the plate pretty, topped off the pastries with a sprinkle of icing, and walked over to Wanda's room. The door swung open the moment you raised your hand to knock.
Wanda was there. Sitting on her bed. Staring at you with one brow lifted.
"Does that mean I can come in?" You asked.
"What do you think?" She replied.
You stepped in and the door promptly shut behind you. She cocked her head to the side, nodded at the plate in your hand.
"What's that?"
"Struklji," you said, stumbling over the word. You walked over and placed it on the empty spot next to her. "I made you some."
"Because I'm Sokovian." She didn't give you time to reply. "You can go." And then, as an afterthought. "Thank you."
You knew you were dismissed by how her head swivelled back to the TV. You hesitated, wanting to see how she liked it, but ultimately, left, closing the door behind you.
--
"Wanda liked your cooking."
"Really?"
--
She still hadn't approached you, hadn't even said thank you, but you wouldn't be swayed. The Avengers were in a meeting debrief while you were in the kitchen, finishing up the last touches on the mekitsa. You counted 12. Enough for everyone even Tony who always managed to have something to say about your cooking.
" Oh? I didn't know this was a buffet." And there you go. There was Tony. Always talking.
You ignored him and placed the food down.
Tony pointed at the plate. "And what is this?"
"It's mekitsa," Wanda interrupted. Her eyes met yours.
"Is that Sokovian?" Steve asked.
She shook her head. "No, but it's common to eat it for breakfast or find someone on the street selling it. It's like a donut."
"Well, if Y/N made it, I'm sure it's good," Steve offered. He grabbed one and took a bite, nodding slowly as he ate. One by one the Avengers followed. Wanda being the last one.
She grabbed one, still eyeing you, and took a bite. The powdered sugar poofed, bits of it falling to decorate her hands and shirt. You looked at her. She was the only one you really cared to see their reaction.
"Is it good?"
Her expression was hesitant. Her eyes far away as if trapped in some memory. To your surprise, she frowned, eyed the pastry as if it had committed some crime.
Slowly, she nodded. She didn't smile or say thank you. She ate it and when she was finished, she took another one. You didn't know what to make of that.
--
You delivered food to Wanda for the next few weeks. Anything and everything remotely Sokovian or Balkan. Salma. Baklava. Rafioli. Gozleme.
"I don't know, Y/N," Natasha leaned back against the chair. Her feet kicked up on the desk. "It's like ever since Wanda came you forgot the rest of us eat, too."
The funny thing was that she was eating. You made the whole compound stuffed peppers for dinner. You were half on your way to bringing the plate to Wanda when Natasha, mouth half full with a pepper, began commenting.
You rolled your eyes. "That's not true."
Tony nodded. "It's true. You're slacking on your duties."
If he wasn't your boss, you'd remind him that tending to Wanda was your duty, but Tony didn't like being corrected. Again, you rolled your eyes. This time, sighing as well. You pointed at the pepper in his hand.
"It'd be easier if I didn't have an extra mouth to feed."
"You mean, me?" He pointed at himself. "The one who signs your check?"
You began walking again. Wanda's food would be cold if you continued to dilly dally. Like always, the door opened when you stepped up to knock. Wanda was sitting on the bed, facing the television as she always was when they weren't trying to get her acquainted with the Avengers lifestyle.
She nodded at the plate. "Stuffed peppers?"
You walked over and placed it beside her. "How'd you know?"
She pointed at her head. "Stark. He's loud."
"I stuffed them with lamb."
Her eyes met yours. She was fond of prolonged eye contact. Unafraid of it, but you would be, too, if you were a telepath.
"I can hear your thoughts, you know?"
You stumbled over your words. For the first time, you thought you saw her grin. Just a bit. A lift at the corner of her lips.
"It's hard keeping track of all your superpowers." You shook your head, turning to the TV. Modern Family was playing on the screen. "You like sitcoms?"
"It's funny."
"Have you seen Living Single? It's another sitcom," you smiled faintly. "Probably not as distributed abroad."
She shook her head, picked up the remote and pointed it at the screen. "Is it online?"
"Oh. Um," You pointed at the bed.
"You can sit."
You sat next to her, scooted the food between you two. It took perusing through multiple streaming channels for you both to realize Living Single is nowhere to be found.
"Maybe, it's only on DVD," Wanda said, turning towards you. Up close like this, you noticed how her eyes had a rim of red around the green iris. Even when her powers were presumably not active.
"Probably." You shrugged.
An awkward silence settled between you. Her tongue darted out to lick her lips, her eyes looking down at the ground, deep in thought. You slowly began to feel as if you overstayed your welcome. You stood up and rubbed your hands on your jeans.
"Well, I should probably-"
"Why are you so nice to me?"
"What."
She looked up at you. Her brows furrowed. "Why are you so nice to me?" She repeated slowly.
"You're far away from home," you said entirely too fast. Almost like a question. You continued in a slower voice, averting your gaze to calm your nerves. "I just- " You shrugged. "It's not fun being somewhere where no one is like you. Not really like you."
She stared at you for so long you turned to leave. "It's not," you heard her say behind you.
You turned.
"Thank you," she smiled. A genuine smile with her teeth and all. She pointed down at the plate. "For everything."
"Yeah, of course."
--
"Y/N."
You turned, jumped, to see Wanda coming at you down the hallway. She'd been there for two months now and just returned from a mission. When you turned, she waved a DVD, too far away for you to make out the title.
"Whassup?"
She held up the DVD.
"How'd you find it?" You half-shrieked.
"Being an Avenger has perks." She smiled. "Do you want to watch it?"
"Um," you looked towards the kitchen. There was stuff to get done, but there was always stuff that needed to get done. It could wait. "Yeah. Sure."
There was only a bed in Wanda's room which wasn't normally an issue because normally, she sat criss-cross on it, and you could sit a little farther behind. This time she was more relaxed, scooting to the side so you had space. Barely. When you sat down, your leg touched hers.
She pressed the 'play' button on the remote control and you began watching the first episode. She didn't move her leg. You didn't either.
--
"Y/N! You gonna go back to being our cook or are you still content with just being Wanda's?" Tony asked you.
He sat at the meeting table as he always did. Only this time the other Avengers were present save for Thor. You rolled your tongue in your cheek. He was your boss, you reminded yourself. Despite yourself, you peeked at Wanda. She didn't like Tony much, but her expression is carefully blank.
"Leave Y/N alone," said Natasha.
"I make food for everyone." You placed a plate of beef patties on the table.
Tony grabbed one off the table and inspected it. "So, this isn't a Sokovian dish?"
"It's Jamaican," you deadpanned.
"Hm." He took a bite. "Did Wan-"
"No, I did not request it."
It was beginning to feel like everyone knew something was up with you and Wanda. You and her had pledged to watch all the American sitcoms she hadn't seen, ranging from Living Single to Moesha, and there were many nights where you honestly just stayed up with her. Vision would join sometimes, too. It was your thing.
But, maybe, they all saw more than you did. For you, it looked like a friendship. Of course, there were times when you two lingered with one another - your hands touching the shared popcorn, your knees bumping and not moving away - but that was just it. These were moments in time.
You were in her room again. You leaned back against the pillow cushion, she laid next to you, a bowl of popcorn between you two. You didn't want to say anything. You didn't want to assume, but there was a palpable tension between you. One that had you avoiding her gaze, sitting closer to the edge than the center.
"There's a lot of singing in this one," she said.
"You sound disgusted."
"I am."
Under normal circumstances, you would've laughed. Now, you didn't know what to do. A laugh would be forced. Ignoring it would be weird. You decided on looking at her. She looked healthier now. Sadness still existed in the corners of her eyes, but she looked like she was eating well. Beautiful then and beautiful now.
She turned to look at you. Her lips curled up in a slight smile.
"I can hear you."
"I'm not- Oh." You could feel your face warming up. You averted your gaze to the popcorn. "Do you always hear me?"
She turned her body entirely, away from the movie to face you. She nodded.
"That's awkward."
"It's not." Her eyes lingered at your lips. "I enjoy it."
You two lay there, staring at one another. You turned towards her, mimicking her position. If you could see yourself, you'd know that you looked like a mix between apprehension and happiness. All you had to do was move forward. Kiss her. It'd be so simple.
"I think you're beautiful, too," she said quietly. "And I like it when we touch."
Her hands hesitantly reached out to touch yours. First, the fingertips and then, palm to palm.
"I do, too," you whispered.
Your kiss was a hesitant one. She wasn't the one to lean forward first. You swallowed your fear and did it. She met you. Her lips trembled. Yours did too. You pulled back to look at her, analyze if you were doing the right thing, your eyes searched hers for some confirmation. What you were met with was a bit of fear. A longing.
You kissed her again.

A/N: I think we know by now that I have a too much gene and can’t write short stories.
“Get back here!” His voice rang from behind you as you ran. You couldn’t help but laugh as you dodged the working crew members. The sound of his boots on the wood close behind you. “Watch out.” One of the crew members grumbled as you zoomed past him, barely missing him.
You couldn’t help but laugh and look behind you, Yunho hot on your tail. Only for your foot to get caught on some rope and for you to go flying into the wooden deck. “I got you now!” He yelled, staddling your waist as you laid on the floor. He was laughing and you were too. It was such a relief to have someone like him to hang out with.
Yunho’s fingers tickled over your sides and you squirmed around trying to avoid them before letting out a deep sigh. “Fine. I surrender.” You said, raising your hands and revealing what he was chasing you for in the first place.
“The ship would be in shambles if you two were left in charge.” Your father’s voice boomed from the deck behind you both. “She stole my apple.” Yunho explained, taking the fruit from your hands and taking a bite. “Sorry captain, for the ruckus.” Yunho said, still sitting on you. Kicking your legs and squirming, you tried to push him off of you but to no avail.
Yunho enjoyed it too much really. He thought you were ridiculously cute and just loved teasing you so much. He was the second youngest on the ship, it was just nice to have you there too.
“Big arse, get off of me.” You stuttered, shoving the older male slightly. You both got up off the floor of the deck and your father laughed at how disheveled you looked. Yunho blinked innocently, munching on his apple as your father dusted you off.
“Sometimes you two remind me of your mother and I when we first met.” Your father said and pinched your cheeks. “All this teasing just because you like eachother. So funny.” Your father said softly and both of your eyes went wide. “I don’t like him!” You said and pouted, looking at Yunho with disgust all to hide the blush forming on your cheeks.
“I don’t like her either.” Yunho said with a small laugh, looking at your face. He was head over heels for you, but judging by your face you really didn’t need to know that.
“Whatever you say.... Yunho when you’re done with that apple Seonghwa could use some help below deck.” Your father said and Yunho nodded. “Yes, captain.” He nodded and left the deck. You watched him walk away and crossed your arms over your chest.
You did like him, you liked him alot. Ever since your father had brought him on board of the “Desire” you had been inseperable. He was your best friend and even if you didn’t want to admit it, you might have even loved him.
“One day, you two will look back on this and say: He was right.” Your father said, placing a hand on your shoulder. “Maybe, but not right now.” You said and turned to him.
Your father may have been a pirate, but he never left you wanting for a thing. He taught you how to read, write, how to take care of yourself and protect yourself. Regardless of the situation, your father did his best with what the cards had dealt him.
You walked below deck as the night fell, seeing Seonghwa and Yunho pushing crates around and stacking them. “I’ll help from here, Seonghwa. You go grab some dinner.” You said and the older male smiled at you. “Alright.”
Talking to your father made you realise how silly you both were being. You liked him and you thought he might like you too. Even if he didn’t, things really couldn’t get awkward between you two. Where was he going to go to avoid you? You were in the middle of the ocean.
“Why are you helping me?” Yunho asked, raising his eyebrow. “Because I can. Don’t act like I do nothing around here.” You said and helped him push a crate into a corner. “No you do a lot. But I thought you didn’t like me?” He teased, leaning against a wall and looking at you. Perching yourself on top of the crate, you kicked out your legs back and forth. You were nervous.
“You know that’s not true.” You said softly and Yunho perked up. Was this happening?
“You know I like you. You know I like you a lot.” Your fingers fiddled with the hem of your shirt. The atmosphere in the room was warm, maybe because the only light in the room came from a small oil lamp hanging above your heads. Finally looking up, you could see Yunho’s eyes sparkling.
“I like you too. I like you a lot.” He said softly, scratching the back of his neck awkwardly. He had never done this before. Coming closer to you, Yunho grabbed one of your hands. His heart was pounding in his chest and he could feel his ears burning red.
You looked at eachother, just simply watched eachother. Taking in eachother’s features mainly because you were both too painfully awkward to say something. It was just you two and the sound of the waves outside.
Until it wasn’t. The sounds of gunshots and canons quickly filled the air and you and Yunho let go of eachother. “What was that?” You asked, pushing off of the crate and heading towards the stairs. “I have no idea.” The male said, grabbing your hand and following you out onto the deck.
There was a ship next the “Desire” and planks connecting the two. The crew was fighting the intruders, the sound of guns, canons and swords filling the air. You could see your father fighting and Yunho instinctively pulled you back slightly.
You both drew your swords, not knowing what to do but knowing that just standing there was more dangerous.
Arms wrapped around your waist and knocked your sword out of your hand. Panic swallowed up your body and you started to kick, scream and shake at the same time. The culprit’s face was covered, all of their faces were covered. The enemy wasn’t identifiable, not even by the black sails on their ship.
Yunho turned to see you being pulled away, and started panicking himself. “Y/N!” He yelled, garnering your father’s attention from the other side of the deck. Yunho ran pushing people out of the way as you continued to fight your agressor. You didn’t realise it until it was too late but the man was dragging you to the plank connecting the ships.
“YUNHO!” You screamed, still trying to reach out to him or to anyone that could help you. You weren’t winning, he was a lot stronger than you. Yunho was so close, your outstretched hand being centimeters away from his. Your father was close behind
However your heart stopped, watching another masked figure grab Yunho and drive his sword into his stomach. You couldn’t remember if you screamed, you couldn’t remember if you cried out or if your body gave out watching him fall to the deck practically lifeless.
But before you knew it, you were on their ship and the planks had fallen into the ocean and disconnecting the two ships. Thrown to the floor of the deck. You were numb, speechless, scared and heartbroken. You had been stripped of everything you knew in a matter of minutes.
- 5 years later-
Surely you were going to die. This was it, you were sure of it. You could practically feel the ship breaking apart around you. But you weren’t scared, you had been living a life of misery and if it was your time to go, you were ready.
Or so you thought, but the second a canonball tore through the wood a few feet from where you were standing, your fight or flight senses took over. You weren’t even thinking as you ran onto the deck, your senses being filled with yells, screams, the waves and the canons. Your captors were incredibly preoccupied, not noticing your scrambling onto the deck in hopes of finding a way to survive this.
Captain Richards was warned by his crew that these waters were dangerous, ships appearing and disappearing in the middle of the night all supposedly looking for the same thing. Utopia.
But he disregarded them, claiming ‘he knew what he was doing’ and that ‘if they disagreed so much, going overboard was their other option’ you only heard about the journey ahead because of his crewmates being below deck and bickering over it. You were wishing the evil Captain would have had enough sense to listen to his crew, now you might actually die because of it.
Splinters were flying around you as you tried finding a way out, but you were in the middle of the ocean and being shot at. Your choices were slim and you knew this was probably the end.
You paused for a moment, feeling the deck underneath you starting to rip apart. Coupled with the screams of crew mates, you felt yourself start to fall and yet all you could think about was your father, Yunho and the crew that was your family.
Oh Yunho, sweet, sweet Yunho. If everything would’ve stayed the same, that could’ve become something. But you were almost 100% sure he was dead and the thought that you would see him soon after you passed comforted you as you hit the cold, black water.
“Y/N? Y/N.” His voice filled your ears and boy, did you miss that voice. “Yunho?” You could hear him, but you couldn’t see him. You couldn’t see anything except for black and you couldn’t feel anything except for the water in your lungs. “Yunho?” You called out again, feeling an intense pressure on your chest. “Yunho?!” You were yelling but you weren’t sure if any sound was coming out.
Were you alive? You absolutely could not tell. You only felt panic as you felt yourself the pressure in your chest becoming unbarable and your mind slowly starting to shut down.
Until it felt like a thousand point weight was lifted off of you, a loud gasp coming from your lungs as you coughed out water onto a wooden deck... a wooden deck?
Your vision was blurry, the edges of your sight laced with black as you turned your head slowly. It felt like your body weighed a ton, your actions being in slow motion as you held onto the deck for dear life. Blinking furiously and trying to get a grip on the fact that you were as a matter of fact, not dead.
You finally lifted your head, trying to gather your surroundings only to be greeted by sparkling eyes. Horribly familiar, horribly beautiful eyes that surely meant you were dead. “Yunho?” Your voice was weak before your arms gave out and your eyes shut once more. You were definitely dead, there was no other explanation.
Yunho stared at your lifeless body on the deck, completely frozen. He couldn’t bring himself to move, he almost forgot to breathe. He only remembered to breathe whenever he watched you cough up a large amount of seawater, thanks to Seonghwa’s help. Yunho was too shocked to do anything, then the shock turned to pure fear that you might have been dead.
“Yunho?” Your voice made him shudder as he looked at you, eyes locking for a moment. You looked dazed and confused, hair sticking to your face and your clothes soaking wet. You looked so scared and it broke his heart. But then you collapsed again, any strength that you had managed to gather disappearing.
“Y/N’s body temperature is really low.” Seonghwa commented, grabbing your limp hand to feel your temperature. It took Yunho a moment to shake everything off and he looked at around to his crew. “Salvage anything possibly of use from the water, Mingi once that’s done change course and get us out of these waters. I don’t trust them.” Yunho started giving everyone orders, moving to the practically lifeless body on his deck.
He scooped you up effortlessly, feeling just how cold your body was against his and needing to hold back his emotions. “Seonghwa, come with me.” Yunho said, walking towards the door that lead below deck and his chambers.
“Who is that?” Wooyoung asked, watching his captain walk below deck with the woman in his arms. “Captain Y/L/N’s daughter.” Mingi responded and the younger male’s eyes went wide. Some of the crew joined after the attack, only knowing about you through stories told by Yunho and your father. You were a legend, a legend everyone thought was dead.
“We have to get these wet clothes off and wrap her up in blankets.” Seonghwa explained as Yunho laid you down on his bed. He looked at Seonghwa with wide eyes. Seonghwa was still his hyung even though he was captain and in moments like this, he was filled with fear and need his hyung.
Quickly, the two made work of your wet clothes, avoiding looking at your body as much as they could and instantly wrapping you in the blankets on his bed. He attempted drying your hair to the best of his ability and also under the watchfull eyes of Seonghwa, who was grabbing more blankets to keep you warm.
“How is she not dead?” Yunho asked, completely befuddled as to how you were still alive, 5 years later. “She’s always been strong. But I have to admit, I thought she was dead too.” Seonghwa admitted softly, feeling your pulse on your neck. “Her pulse is already stronger, I think we might have acted fast enough.” He added on and his words were calming to Yunho.
Yunho sat next to you on the bed, just looking at your face. You hadn’t changed much, well you had gotten older but so had he. Even if in that moment he didn’t feel like it. He felt like he was seventeen again and everything was normal, like your dad was still around and you didn’t disappear for 5 years. But that wasn’t the case and Yunho was now the captain and you were slowly coming back from the dead.
“I should stay down here, with her. If she wakes up, you know.” Yunho said, looking at Seonghwa. He nodded his head in understanding, he knew Yunho loved you. Even when he was seventeen it was obvious, he wasn’t going to stop him from being with you now.
“You want me to take care of things on top?” Seonghwa asked and Yunho nodded. “Please.” His voice was barely a whisper, but Seonghwa understood and left. Yunho was racking his brain as to how he was going to tell you everything when you woke up, because he absolutely knew you would, you had too.
But it had been a few hours and he was starting to lose hope, tearing himself away from you to walk out onto the deck. “Is she up?” Seonghwa asked, watching the taller male walk from below deck. “No, not yet. I just couldn’t sit there any longer.” Yunho shook his head leaning on the railing and taking his head into his hands. The sky had turned dark amidst the chaos, telling Yunho just how long of a day it had already been. “If she doesn’t wake up soon, I don’t think she will.” Those weren’t words anyone wanted to hear.
Your body was filled with an overwhelming sense of warmth, you weren’t dead, this couldn’t be what death felt like. No, it couldn’t be. Heaven or hell wouldn’t be the smell of seawater and the sound of wood creaking filling your ears. There was a flickering light as you opened your eyes slowly, one you knew all too well from spending time under decks. No, you weren’t dead.
Blinking slowly, you allowed your eyes to adjust to the light and sat up slowly. A sudden rush to your head made you lay back down a moment. “You did almost die. Maybe you should take it easy.” You said softly, throat sore from your previous gasping for air. You sat up again, even slower than before and looked around the room. Holding the blankets wrapped around your body tightly as you did so.
This was familiar, the quarters you were in. They were very familiar, comforting almost. This was your fathers’ ship, this was the ‘Desire’. But it couldn’t be... could it?
You whipped your head around, looking towards where you knew your old room would be if it was and low and behold. There was the door to your old quarters, the little sign your father had made for you with your name carved into the wood. Tears couldn’t help but pool in the corner of your eyes, you were finally home.
You scrambled out of the bed, feeling a sudden rush of energy and adrenaline. You had to go find your father, you had too. It had been 5 years and they must’ve thought you were dead. Wait, did that mean that you really did see Yunho. Or was that in the inbetween, the space between life and death?
You had so many questions and so many uncertainties. Priority number one was to find your father. So you pushed yourself off of the bed, stabilizing yourself as the blood rushed to your head. The blanket that was wrapped around you now laying on the floor as you pulled your slightly damp clothes back on. You tried clearing your throat but it burned immensly from the water inhalation, making you cringe.
‘The Desire’ was your childhood. You knew the ship like the back of your hand, even if it had been 5 years. You instantly found yourself climbing the stairs leading to the door to the deck. Maybe you shouldn’t have rushed yourself to move so quickly but, your family, you were home. Weakly, you pushed the door open and took in the fresh air and dark blue sky.
Yunho heard the deck door open and turned his head around. Low and behold there you stood, holding onto the door for support because it felt like your legs were going to give out at any moment. He couldn’t reach you fast enough, running over the deck to take you into his arms before you could fall. You had strained yourself entirely too much since you had woken up, your body wasn’t ready for any of it.
You were sure Yunho was a hallucination when you saw him prior, but now holding him, feeling the warmth of his skin and seeing the glitter in his eye, you were aware that he was very much real.
“I thought you were dead.” Your voice was scratchy, cracking as your emotions took over too. “I could say the same thing.” Yunho laughed, holding you against his chest. “The last thing I saw that night was a blade going through your stomach.” Tears were spilling now as your scratchy words came out. “Shh, it’s okay we’ll talk more once you’re a bit better.” He said, still simply holding you.
His voice was comforting, it reminded you of home. The ship was comforting, it was your home.
“Where’s my father?” You asked, allowing Yunho to put you back on your feet and his arm wrapped around your waist for support. Glancing around the deck, you recognized a few familiar faces but not the one you were most excited to see. “Where is he?” You asked again, looking at Yunho. He was avoiding your gaze, but he found it hard to look at you in this state: injured and upset. Especially after having just gotten you back.
How was Yunho supposed to tell you that your father had died looking for you, or that he had gone half mad doing it?
“Yunho?” Your scratchy voice brought him back to reality. “Come on let’s get you warmed up again. I’ll explain things.” Yunho pulled you back below deck, your feet barely touching the ground as he supported all of your weight.
You took the moment to really look at him, as he rushed around the quarters to keep you warm. He’d gotten taller, alot taller. Yunho was always taller than you but now it was quite prominent. His shoulders were wider now too, a lot more muscular than what he used to be. He had aged well, he was handsome.
Burrying deeper into the blankets, you relished in the warmth and watched as he sat down next to you. It took him a moment to look at you, but eventually he looked up. Sparkly eyes not having changed once in the 5 years you hadn’t seen him. He swallowed thickly, fiddling with the blanket between his fingers. Yunho was trying his best to avoid telling you, even if he knew you should know. He wanted to spare you the pain.
“The night you were taken, the captain found me on the deck. I was pretty sure I was dead already. Felt like the whole world was going dark.” Yunho started to explain and you thought back to the pain you felt, thinking that he had died. “Seonghwa somehow, managed to patch me up all in the mean time your father was doing anything and everything to try and find you. Every waking second spent trying to find the ship with the black sails that comes and goes like a ghost in the night.” His voice faltered talking about it all and well you weren’t dumb. You just needed to hear him say it.
“He was so convinced you were alive. I feel so bad that we didn’t believe him, but we humored him and helped him look. Catching odd jobs every now and then to get by.” You sat up, placing your hand on his for comfort. Even though you were gone for 5 years, it seemed like the crew of the ‘desire’ didn’t have it easy either.
“Your father got sick, really sick. He always used to say ‘Of all the things to take me out, I never thought it would be an illness’” Yunho squeezed your hand and you felt yourself starting to tear up, so much had changed. “Your father passed away 2 years ago and left the ship to me, making me the new captain.” The tears fell at his words, one of the few things that kept you alive all those years was the thought of seeing your father again.
“He never stopped looking for you.” Yunho finally looked at you, hating to see the tears rolling down your cheeks and you cold hand holding his. He lifted your hand, rubbing it to warm it up. “I’m so sorry we didn’t believe him.” You could hear all the remorse in his voice, remorse for not believing your father, remorse towards his passing, it was hard to hear.
“It’s alright, Yunho.” You wiped your tears away quickly and he grabbed your other hand to try to warm them up. He ignored your words, blowing warm air onto your hands and continuing to rub them. “I’ll go get you something warm to eat.” Yunho needed to get out, for his own emotions sake, he was a captain now and he needed to be strong. “No, don’t leave. Please.” You whispered, gripping his hands as tightly as you could.
He hadn’t even realised that a tear had slipped until he looked at you, weak, tired and sad. “Okay, okay.” Yunho nodded, kicking his boots off and moving to lay next to you in his bed but on top of the sheets. Your cold fingers reached out and wiped his tears away, heart breaking for him and yourself. If there was any time for self pity, it was now.
The feeling of him laying next to you warmed you up almost instantly, making you curl into him even more and revelling in the feeling of being home. “Relax, you’re home now. You’re safe. We finally have you back and we aren’t letting you go anywhere.” You burried your face into his chest at his words, knowing they were true and let your body relax to slowly fall asleep.
It wasn’t Yunho’s intention to fall asleep with you, but he couldn’t help it. The day’s emotions had gotten to him and naturally had exhausted him. But he did wake up again with a start and a panic filled chest. It must’ve been the dream he was having, or maybe it was the fact that you weren’t next to him anymore and not anywhere in his room.
Did he dream up that you were back?
Pushing himself off of the bed, he rushed out of the room and onto the deck. He wasn’t sure if you were real anymore and needed that confirmation for his own sake.
However that confirmation came quickly as he found you sitting on the stairs, eating some soup and laughing with Mingi and Wooyoung. That panic in his chest subsiding at the scene and allowing himself te release the breath he was holding.
“She came out this morning, claiming your snoring woke her up along with her stomach growling. Seems her personality hasn’t changed much.” Seonghwa laughed and Yunho smiled. “That’s a relief.” Was all he could say before turning to finally look at Seonghwa. “You should’ve woken me up.” He added and Seonghwa shook his head. “Y/N told me not too, that you seemed tired the night before. I figured since she’s the captain’s daughter, I should listen.” Seonghwa had a point to that and it was something that Yunho hadn’t thought about before.
He knew that if you were never taken, you would now be captain. Your father was always training you to become the captain and it was purely circumstancial that Yunho was the captain now. It was only right in his mind that you should be the captain now.
You smiled as you noticed Yunho approaching you three and you wiped your lips from the soup remnants. “Goodmorning, sleeping beauty.” You joked and Yunho instantly sighed. “Your sense of humor hasn’t changed at all.” He sounded annoyed, but he was relieved, your traumatic experiences didn’t seem to dampen your spirit. He wished he could say the same.
“Anyways, Captain what’s your first order?” Yunho asked, causing confused looks from you, Seonghwa, Mingi and Wooyoung to be shot his way. “I’m sorry, what?” You asked, not understanding if this was a joke or not. “You heard me. You were the captain’s daughter, he always wanted you to be captain. Now you’re here.” Yunho stated and you felt an odd pit in your stomach. It had been years since being mentioned as possible captain had happened and now Yunho was simply giving you the position.
“I-I-” You stuttered and Yunho looked at you, deadly serious. “Yunho, he made you captain.” You started, Wooyoung and Mingi excusing themselves from your conversation with Seonghwa following suit. “I know he made me captain. But he wanted to make you captain, you know that.” He explained and you shook your head. “Those things don’t matter. They stopped mattering the second I was taken off this ship. My father, loved you. He wanted you to be captain for a reason. Besides, the crew knows you, they trust you and they obviously follow you as a captain.” You paused, looking at him and making sure to look into his eyes. You needed him to know you meant this, because your desire to be captain was so low it was practically non-existent.
“You’re the captain, you should stay the captain. I will be on the sidelines and help where I can, but I have no desire to be captain.” Yunho felt slightly reassured at your words or maybe it was your expression, either way he felt better.
“I missed you.” Yunho said after a long a pause, but now he was looking at the ocean. He found it hard to look you in the eyes to tell you things weighing on his mind.
You looked at his face, really taking the moment to take it in. Age had been kind to Yunho, turning him from the boy you knew into a man. His jaw was more defined, his shoulders were wider and he was definitely taller, even more attractive than he was 5 years ago. Maybe that was because you were both grown up.
“I missed you too.” You said back, tucking your knees under your chin and wrapping your arms around your legs. You meant it, you cried for a week thinking that Yunho was dead and all because he was trying to save you. It was a guilt that you had carried with yourself for years and that was wiped away the day prior.
“Well captain, where are we headed?” You asked and he finally looked at you again. “We are headed to port. However, you should be resting your body faced a lot of trauma in the last 48 hours.” You sighed at his words, but you knew he was right. “I’ll rest until we reach port then, but I haven’t been on land in 5 years. I’d like to go.” You compromised and Yunho looked down at the wooden deck, you were as stubborn as ever.
“Fine. We need to get a few things, food supply has been running low. Need to stock up.” He explained and you smiled. “Sounds quite honest for a pirate.” You remarked and he shook his head with a smile. “I never really was good at attacking others.” He explained and you couldn’t help but smile too. You hadn’t smiled this much in so long, your cheeks were starting to hurt.
“An honest pirate. What are the odds?” You remarked to yourself and stood up from your spot on the stairs. “I won’t do any work then, because you don’t want me too. But I will stay on deck and watch, to remember what it’s like to be home again.” You brushed past him, making sure to pat his back as you did. Yunho watched you walk away and towards Mingi who was by the helm, steering the ship.
There was already such a difference from the way you looked yesterday and the way you looked now. With your hair blowing in the wind and the smile on your face, you looked just as beautiful as you did 5 years ago and it made Yunho weak in the knees.
It took a few days for the ‘Desire’ to reach port, pulling it’s very obvious pirate sail down once they reach the horizon of the island. There was no need to alarm people, not when you were there to do honest work.
In the meantime you tried to abide by what Yunho had asked, for you to rest. But it was sure proving to be difficult, you hated feeling useless. Yet you still tried to help out, marking inventory, charting routes, trying to get your sea legs back to the best of your ability. You did all this while trying not to get caught by Yunho and failing.
If it was the you from 5 years ago, you wouldn’t have listened to him. But things had changed, the captain role suited him well and he had an air of authority to him, you couldn’t help but listen when he scolded you. Yunho had even insisted you take the captain’s quarters, knowing they gifted more privacy than the crew’s quarters, much to your dismay. A captain needed that privacy, not you. But you had lost the argument with him and slept in his bed while he lay in a hammock way below deck.
“Ahh.” Yunho hissed, stretching out and feeling his joints cracking. You shook your head at his noises, knowing they were because of the hammock. “I told you to take the bed, but you insisted. You can still have it, I don’t mind.” You said and he shook his head. “No, it wouldn’t feel right.” Yunho said as the island came larger and larger into view. “Yes it would. Especially for your back.” You retorted and he sighed. “You still argue too much.” “That’s besides the fact. How long are we staying here?” You asked, feeling excited to be so close to land again.
Yunho could see the excitement in your eyes and the little excited bounce in your step as you walked over to the railing to look at the island. He followed you after telling Seonghwa to prepare things to anchor.
“5 years of not being on land. I would’ve gone insane.” He remarked, standing directly next to you with his side pressing into you. He wasn’t wrong, you were on the verge of going insane when your captor’s ship was blown to bits. “This is going to sound insensitive...” Yunho started and craned your head to look up at him, preparing for his question. However, he couldn’t help but pause and take in the way you looked at him.
“But why did they keep you around... for 5 years? It’s something I’ve been thinking about since we found you.” His question wasn’t insensitive, it was something you wondered too. It was something you had asked your captor’s almost everyday, but you had only gotten the answer recently.
“I asked the Captain, almost everyday why he took me and he wouldn’t respond. But the sea was slowly starting to drive him mad and he finally told me.” You paused, smiling softly to reassure Yunho you were okay speaking about it. “He said he took me because of how close my father and I were. That meant I must’ve known the info he did. But dad never told me about the Aurora and well, the Captain didn’t know that.” Yunho’s ears perked up at the mention of the Aurora. The Aurora was a myth, or so he was told.
“And then he wanted to use me as bargaining, for information. But that got postponed and postponed, new things, new adventures for him and his crew. So the deals never happened.” You stopped, making sure Yunho was still listening and well he was, intently. He wanted to make sure no one hand physically hurt you more than he was already aware of. The memory of the stuff you had went through wasn’t good, but it wasn’t nearly as bad as what people would of thought, you were treated more as a servant than a prisoner and you were kept fed. Judging by stories your father had told you, you could have had it way worse.
“Secretly I think he just liked having me around.” You joked, you were never one to wallow in self pity long. Yunho sighed, looking down to the ground being very obviously deep in thought. You extended your hand to cup his cheek, making him look back up at you. “I’m alright, despite everything, I’m alright.” You reassured and he simply nodded his head, nestling his face further into your hands.
The moment was endearing, sparking something in the pit of your stomach that you hadn’t felt in a long time... butterflies.
“Anchor’s down and we are docked, Captain.” Mingi came by to say, ruining the moment slightly and snapping Yunho back down to Earth. “Right, we docked. Uh, supplies we need to get.” He pulled away from you, walking to the other end of the deck to try and get some things ready. You sighed, leaning back onto the railing of the ship. You were happy to be on land, but you were quite enjoying holding him.
Yunho walked down from his ship and onto the dock, nodding at some of the royal guard shaking all suspicions that the ‘Desire’ was a pirate ship. “It costs 10 silvers to dock.” A man registering the coming and going ships remarked, looking Yunho up and down. Yunho was young for a captain, people always underestimated him or thought less of him because of it.
“Here.” Yunho dropped the coins onto the mans registery before going to walk off. “My legs feel all shaky being on land again. So don’t mind me.” You said and grabbed onto Yunho’s arm for support. It seemed like your sea legs were fine, your land legs were the ones that needed work. Yunho laughed, allowing you to link your arm with his and he guided you towards the market.
Half of the crew stayed behind, guarding the ship and to come up with excuses should the royal guards feel the sudden need to investigate ships. The other half wandered around town with the money they had made or better to say looted.
But Yunho didn’t want you to wander far from him and in reality, you didn’t want to be far from him either. The feelings you remembered having 5 years prior were very much coming back. Something you always thought was a stupid little teenage crush was definitely not the case anymore. Yunho became a man, a man you loved.
You stayed by him as he bartered, laughing at the chortle the farmer gave him at his suggested price and making Yunho sigh. “Fine.” He sighed, slipping the man a few coppers and telling him to place the crates by the ship.
The last few days you had spent observing him in his position as captain, well admiring more. He was a just and kind captain, something that you didn’t see often and well definitely not in pirates. It was a rare quality your father had too and it seemed he taught Yunho well.
Even now, you couldn’t help but watch him as he conducted business. It seemed like everyone liked him and the way he held himself. It was entirely fascinating and well it seemed it wasn’t just that way to you. He was catching the eyes of alot of women, be it the daughters of the farmers he bartered with or the ladies standing outside of the local brothel. You absolutely hated it, but you didn’t own Yunho in any way or form. However this just further justified that he had grown up incredibly well.
“Captain, you aren’t joining?” You heard Wooyoung call from a window as you walked through the dark street. Night was about to fall and it seemed the crew members were indulging in a night with the local brothel’s prospects. You really couldn’t blame them, they were at sea for months at a time and they needed to get rid of their frustrations... of any sort.
You glanced at Wooyoung, not being able to help yourself but stare at the woman who was kissing down his neck. “I’ll sit this one out.” Yunho called back and Wooyoung laughed. You remained quiet, it was his choice if he wanted to stay and indulge. It would hurt if he decided to, but that was his choice. He was a captain after all, he must’ve been stressed.
“You’re funny, come on Captain.” Wooyoung taunted, one of the girls coming out of the building’s entrance and leaning against the door frame. She was beautiful with dark hair and golden sunkissed skin, there was no question and even you were tempted, let alone Yunho.
“I’m not holding you back. If you want too, go ahead.” You said and Yunho looked at you in surprise. Was he tempted? Only slightly, but you telling him to go made him second guess things. Part of him wanted you to tell him not too because it meant you might have still had feelings for him or at least that they were rekindled in the past few days.
“I was planning on going to bed on time anyways, today cost a bit more energy than I anticipated.” You lied, but you meant that you wanted him to have a good time. Yunho fumbled with his fingers and for a split moment, he looked like his 17 year old self. He mentally debated for a moment and decided to go inside.
You had only been back a few days, there was no way your feelings were there. Or so Yunho thought as he watched you head in the direction of the docks and the hand of the girl ran over his back. “Captain was it?” Her voice was soft in his ears as he ridirected his attention to her, nodding. “Tell me some of your stories then, Captain.” She smiled, pulling him into the brothel by the fabric of his jacket.
It hurt your heart when he entered the brothel, even more when you saw her hand on his back but you let it go, he had made his choice and you had made yours.
“Where’s the rest?” Seonghwa asked as you appeared on deck. You scoffed at his question and sat yourself down on one of the barrels of grain that you had bought that afternoon. “I’m assuming balls deep in some girls and boys from the brothel.” You stated and Seonghwa was taken back for a moment. “Sorry, I- nevermind.” You started but finished just as quickly, letting your emotions speak for you.
“So Yunho is also partaking in this.” You don’t know how Seonghwa ended up being so wise and the person you’d go to when you needed to talk, but he did and you appreciated him for it. “Yes, Yunho is also partaking in this. I told him he should. Being captain must be... stressfull.” You could understand, you had needs. It was just, you would rather deal with his stress... with him.
“Your father always knew you liked him and well he had a hunch that Yunho liked you too.” Seonghwa laughed and you shrugged. Your father was always right, you missed him for it.
“That day, that day that I was taken I told Yunho how I felt. He told me he felt the same and then all Hell broke loose. Seemed almost like fate was intervening.” You chuckled and played with the hem of your shirt. “I got kidnapped and Yunho almost died.” You found it almost comical, how your lives could’ve taken such a turn.
“Yeah, it seems that way almost. But you made your way back and Yunho lived. Two things that seemed impossible happened.” Seonghwa leaned against the barrels as well and looked up at the stars. He wasn’t wrong, not at all. If you love something you have to let it go. If it was meant to be, it would come back to you and well you had managed to come back together.
“I haven’t said it yet since I’ve been back, but I missed you too Seonghwa. You always listened.” You hopped off the barrel as you spoke. “The crew missed having you around too and well, I missed having the ship’s princess here.” Seonghwa laughed, placing a hand on your arm. You leaned into his touch slightly and then pulled away. “I’m going to go to bed, however. To sit in my anger alone.” You joked, heading towards the captain’s quarters. “Don’t sit in anger too long. Anger and the sea don’t mix well.” He called after you, making you simply smile as you disappeared below deck.
You were angry, angry at yourself for telling him to go but also angry that he chose to go. You let out a disgruntled sigh as you undid the ties on your boots, kicking them off before working to undo the ties around the collar of your blouse.
As you did so, the door to the captain’s quarters flew open. The sudden rush of air and the sound made you jump up, clutching your chest as you looked at who it was.
“Yunho?” You asked, looking at him and holding the top of your blouse shut. He looked disgruntled, hair tousled and chest rising and falling deeply. “How could you let me go?” He asked, taking you back immensly. “I’m sorry? How could I let you go? You’re a grown man, you made that choice.” You were almost laughing, his actions were most definitely his choice. “I know and it was stupid but how could let me go?” He sighed, running his figners through his hair. “It didn’t take much convincing. The girl was absolutely gorgeous, I don’t blame you. Besides everyone has needs.” You explained, looking at him with a confused expression.
“Was she not good?” You asked still thoroughly in the dark of why he was upset. “I was in there for half an hour, drinking an ale and the whole time while she tried to... I was thinking about you, so I left.” You were frozen at his words, your hands falling from your blouse to your sides. Yunho was scared, this confession was different from the one 5 years ago. This was real, this wasn’t a crush. This was a mix of lust and love.
“Was I dumb to think you felt the same? Because you telling me to go in there told me you don’t.” Yunho questioned your silence and tried to avert his eyes from the cleavage that was now very much out. You took a deep breath, not allowing yourself to think too much about your actions as you did them.
Stepping forward, you placed a hand on the back of his neck and pulled him to your level. His lips pressing against yours roughly as you did so, but you really didn’t care. This was years of pining and being concerned of each other wrapped into one kiss.
Yunho didn’t need to think twice in kissing you back, hands coming up to cup your cheeks as he did so. He pressed his lips against yours even harder, feeling your fingers tangling into his hair.
You could taste the ale slightly on his tongue as it dipped into your mouth, making you smile. “You taste like ale.” You mumbled against his lips only for him to shake his head. “You either talk too much or too less.” He replied in response, leaning down to grip your thighs and lifting you in the process. “What am I doing now?” You asked, arms wrapping around his neck. You couldn’t help but tease a little, especially with the way he was looking at you. “Definitely talking too much.” He said and kissed you again, even more feverishly than before.
Your legs wrapped around his waist as his hands moved to your ass, holding you up effortlessly. He gave you a squeeze and revelled in the way you hummed against his lips. Your hand caressed his cheek and you pulled your lips away from his for a moment, just so you could look at him and take him in. His eyes sparkled in the light from the candles and they were a significantly darker than usual while looking at you.
He walked you backwards, a small smile playing on his lips as he did so. Yunho was doing the exact same thing, taking you in. The way your lips were soft under his, the way your chest rose and fell as you tried to catch your breath and the way your skin looked golden under the light of the candles. He took it all in because as fate had shown before, he didn’t know when it could be taken all away again.
Yunho dropped you onto the bed, maybe a little rougher than he intended too but you didn’t mind. Especially not as he slipped between your legs and hovered over you, still standing as you sat in front of him on the bed. He leaned down, hand holding your neck as he kissed you again. Tongue swiping over your lips as you tried pulling him further down to your level. The hand on your neck moved down slightly, tracing the skin that was revealed from your blouse and down your chest. He grabbed your breast throught the fabric, kneading softly as you whimpered against his lips.
“Take it off.” He told you, hardly pulling his lips away from yours as he did. The demand sent goosebumps over your body and the dominance he was radiating made your core ache. Your fingers found the hem of your blouse, not wasting too much time in taking it off. Yunho helped you, grabbing the thin fabric and pulling it off of you to reveal your bare chest.
His lips instantly attached the newly revealed skin and his hands cupped your breasts, massaging them a little harsher than before. Your mouth fell open at the feeling of his lips all over your chest, leaving marks where he could and simply because he wanted too. This was his new favorite feeling, the feeling of you under him and his lips on you.
“You’re so soft.” He mumbled against your skin and sinking down to his knees. Yunho was now practically the same height as you as you sat on his bed. He wrapped his arms around you, pulling your chest nearly flush against his face. His tongue ran over your nipples gently before allowing his lips to wrap around it, sucking softly as your fingers carded through his hair. You were a whimpering mess under his mouth and you could tell he was only just starting.
“Yunho-” You moaned, starting to tug on his blouse. You just wanted to feel his skin on yours. He took his lips off of you with a chuckle. “How about you take it off now?” You asked, your hand tilting his chin up to look at you. This was such a sight, Yunho sitting between your legs and looking up at you with those big beautiful eyes. He smiled at your request before allowing you to help him with the ties of his blouse. His hands fumbled along with yours, admiring the size difference between the two as he did before deciding it was done enough to pull it off.
You watched him throw the fabric to the side before turning back to you. Your hands moved before you really put much thought into it, moving from his bare shoulders and down his chest. He was so much more muscular than 5 years prior and he had little scars from fights and accidents. But one stood out the most, the big scar just off the side of his belly button, the one that showed that he had evaded death.
Yunho shivered slightly, feeling your fingers graze the scar before bringing your hands back up to his shoulders. “Stand up.” You said, kissing his neck gently as you did so. He faltered for a moment, raising up from his knees to stand before you again. As if he wasn’t incredibly hard already, the sight of you dropping to your knees infront of him definitely helped.
Your hands moved down his stomach stopping at the ties of his trousers as you looked at him. Lifting yourself slightly, you kissed down the faint v line that dipped down and made shivers go down his spine. Yunho’s hand moved to your hair and pulled the loose strands out of your face so he could see every expression.
You tugged his trousers down, allowing his cock to spring free and he let out a hiss. With a soft smile, your hand wrapped around him softly and you thumb ran over his slit to spread some of the precum around. Yunho couldn’t hold back his moans at the feeling, your hand was better than his own or some girl from a brothel. To you he sounded absolutely heavenly, making your lips part in a sigh before leaning forward and taking him into your mouth.
Instinctively, his grip on your hair tightened as he felt your tongue swirl over his tip before throwing his head back. “Oh shit.” He hissed as you bobbed your head over him, forcing yourself to take more of him and using your hand for what didn’t fit. You pulled your mouth off of him and took a deep breath, giving him a soft squeeze with your hand just to see his response. Yunho almost whimpered and tugged your hair again because of the pleasure. “That feels so good.” He huffed as you took him into your mouth again. Your nose brushed his lower stomach as his cock pressed against the back of your throat, making you gag but you took it. His sounds were most definitely worth it.
Yunho back away from you, his hands running through his hair as his chest rose and fell deeply. “I don’t want to finish yet.” He said, catching his breath as he looked at you completely bewildered. You smiled, loving that you had that effect on him before wiping your mouth slightly.
He moved back towards you, lifting you onto your feet before pushing you back onto the bed. Hands, almost instantly finding the ties to your trousers to pull them down harshly. Yunho was feeling an almost feral need to taste you, fuck you, have you in any way possible. His patience was running thin.
You let out a surprised sound as your trouser were ripped away from your legs, very much feeling the same need Yunho was at this point. Holding onto your ankles, he pulled you to edge of the bed and sank down on his again. He lifted your legs over his shoulders. His lips moved over your thighs, slowly but surely getting closer and closer to your dripping core.
You watched with heavy breaths as his lips wrapped around your clit, sucking gently at first. The action left your hips bucking and Yunho smiling against your core. “Stay still.” He demanded and pressed your hips back down into the mattress before his lips became a bit harsher. With his eyes watching you and his lips against your core, the pleasure was incredibly intense. Your hands moved down your body, over your breasts and down to his on your hips. You just needed something to hold on to.
His tongue circled over your clit as your fingers laced with his, your back arched off the bed. His other hand moved off of your hips, pointer finger circling around your entrance before slipping inside. It caught you off guard, making your hips buck again and a moan tear from your lips. He added another finger, thrusting them into a little harder and fast as lips continued to suck on your clit. Yunho just wanted you to cum, he wanted to see you fall over the edge, he wanted to see just how far he could push you.
“Yunho- I’m, Oh.” You whimpered, squeezing his hand harshly as you tried to keep your hips still. The pit in your stomach was on the verge of exploding and he was doing everything he could to make it happen. His fingers continued to curl into you and your moans were almost soundless as you toppled over the edge. “That’s it.” He cooed as your thighs shook around his head, his fingers not slowing down one second to ride out your orgasm. Yunho watched your face contort and listened to your whimpers as he did so, a soft smile on his face the whole time.
“You sound so good.” He complimented, fingers not easing up any as he did so. Your legs closed around his hand and you pushed it away, the overstimulation being too much for you. Yunho stood back up, hovering over your body as you caught your breath. You opened your eyes, locking with his for a moment as his hands massaged your hips. “Are you going to fuck me already?” You asked, words surprising him.
The massaging of your hips ended as he lifted you up and flipped you over, catching you incredibly off guard but making you laugh none the less. “I told you, you talk too much sometimes.” He whispered in your ear as you adjusted to sit on your hands and knees. You smiled and arched your back slightly, ass pressing against his bare cock and he let out a sigh.
You could feel his hand move up your back and to your hair, tugging harshly and pressing your back against his chest. You could feel the tip of his cock sitting at your entrance and you squirmed slightly. You had never been quite this needy before and it was all Yunho’s doing.
He released your hair but wrapped his arm around your waist to keep you in place as he wasted no more time. Yunho thrust himself fully into you, hardly giving a moment to adjust to the stretch. The mewl that left your lips was a noise he knew he’d never forget and the way you felt gripping his cock either. It was like you were made for him.
Yunho started fucking into you hardly giving you a chance to breathe because of his brutal pace. His arm remained around your waist to keep pressed against him and his other hand gripped your chin to make you look at him. This was it for him, knowing your completely blissed out expression was because of him and only him. He revelled in the feeling.
Your sounds egged him on to fuck you even harder, pace being sure to leave bruises. You lifted your hand to hold on to the back of his neck, just so you had some leverage. “You feel so nice and tight around me, you were absolutely made for me.” He mumbled into your neck and kissed the skin. His words were making you blush which was almost funny considering the position you were in. “Fuck-” Was all you could muster as he hit that sweet spot inside of you, your fingers lacing with his on your waist. You were pretty sure that anyone on deck could hear your moaning but you really couldn’t care less.
You could feel yourself getting close and so could Yunho, the way you were squeezing him left him moaning into your neck. The hand holding your chin moved down your body and stopped at your clit, rubbing harshly as he mumbled sweet nothings in your ear.
“I want you to cum for me.” He started, kissing your lips as he picked up his pace even more. He continued to rub your clit as your body shook, that familiar coil in your stomach tightening. Yunho’s hips stuttered as he felt his own orgasm tear through him, moaning your name into your ear. As you felt him cum inside you, your own orgasm washed over you leaving your frozen and breathless.
You sat there for a moment, catching your breath as Yunho laced gentle kisses over your neck doing the same. The arm that was wrapped around you waist remained there, holding you up as you both calmed down for moment. Your fingers traced shapes into his hand, tickling him slightly and making him laugh.
“Well that was something.” You mumbled, moving away from him to lay down on the bed. Your body was in dire need of some rest, you could imagine his was too. You laid down on top of the sheets completely naked, looking up at Yunho who still standing and watching you.
There was a sort of after glow surrounding you, your flushed out cheeks, the marks over your chest and the sparkle in your eyes. He found himself simply staring as you blinked at him. “Don’t look at me like that.” He started, finally moving to lay down next to you. “I can’t guarantee I won’t fuck you again if you don’t stop.” He laughed and you couldn’t help but giggle too as you rested your head on his chest.
“Is that a threat or a promise?” You asked and kissed over his chest lightly, teasingly almost. “A promise.” Yunho answered, cupping your cheeks and making you look at him. “Captain Yunho, I think I might’ve fallen in love with you all over again.” You admitted, looking into his eyes. Yunho really couldn’t help the smile that pulled over his lips or the pink tint that covered his ears. “That’s a relief. I don’t think I ever fell out of love with you.” Yunho said and let his hand massage your bare thigh.
“As long as we’re on the same page.” You said even softer, feeling incredibly tired after your day. Yunho settled with you in his arms allowing himself to also fall asleep with peace in mind for the first time in a long time.
-
The next morning, Yunho woke up to an empty bed and he panicked for a moment. Only to realise you were sitting at the desk in the corner of the room, completely bare as you flipped through a journal.
“This is a view I could get used to every morning.” Yunho mumbled, making you look up from the scribbles in the book. “If you play your cards right, you will.” You joked, standing up from your seat and wandering back to the bed. Yunho’s cheeks and eyes were puffy with sleep as he watched you saunter back to bed journal in hand.
“Why didn’t you tell me about this?” You asked, laying back down next to him and allowing his arms to wrap around you. You hadn’t noticed the journal lying there originally, but it had peaked your interest as you lied in bed that morning and rightfully so. It was your father’s sea journal and you had never looked in it before that morning.
Yunho kissed your bare shoulder slightly as he watched you flip through the pages. “I was going to when you woke up, if you woke up that day. Then I had to explain everything to you and I didn’t want to overwhelm you.” Yunho explained, hoping you weren’t upset with him because of it. “It’s alright, I understand.” You reassured him, your hand stroking his face gently. “Have you flipped through this?” You asked, pausing on a page that had sparked a lot of interest for you a few minutes prior.
“No, it didn’t feel right. Like I was reading through his personal thoughts.” Yunho shook his head and moved to read the page. His eyes widened at the words over the page. “Is this real?” He asked and you shrugged. “I have no idea but there are directions... he never told me about this.” Your voice trailed off, wondering why your father never explained the Aurora to you or how to get there.
“Where were we headed after this stop?” You asked, reading the directions he had scribbled haphazardly over the page. “Nowhere specific. Somewhere, anywhere. At this point we were just surviving with the name pirate branded onto us.” He sounded lost for a moment, not enjoying the life they were leading. You both paused and looked at eachother. “If we don’t have a set course... What’s the harm in going?”You asked, knowing if you actually found the Aurora you’d be set for life. It was a legend but according to your father’s notebooks the legends were real. According to your captors, the legends were real.
The Auroura was the cause for your life being taken away from you for years, the reason Yunho was almost killed and the reason you would never see your father again. If there was an ounce of truth to it all, it was worth finding.
Yunho thought for a second, looking at your expression before standing up. He shuffled around for a moment, pulling his clothes back on that were thrown around during the previous evenings’ events. You watched him expectantly as he shuffled around, holding back your laughter as he stumbled slightly.
He extended his hand to you and you looked at him in confusion. “I’m going to need the directions if I want Mingi to chart a course.” He laughed, explaining himself and you felt your chest fill with warmth. Yunho leaned over the bed to kiss you, pressing his forehead to yours.
“You’re not wrong about there being no harm. We’ve been sailing for months without a purpose. Seems like with you back, we have our purpose again.”
A/N: I left the ending kinda open to a part 2... so some feedback would be amazing. No in reality this fic took me months to write so I really hope you enjoy it.
Thank you for being patient with me, I love you guys and I’m sorry for being m.i.a while writing and stuff. ♥♥♥

Request: hey! i just saw your latest post and may i request Tzuyu scenario or imagine where tzuyu is blind and female reader is in love with her like she is protective, soft, kind and helpful. or the one where the reader is tzuyu's new neighbor
Y/n randomly decided to up and move to a new town without any word. She found herself moving into a small comfortable home in a quiet neighborhood that was full of lovely families. "Ouch!" A small voice was heard from the medium sized house that sat next to her small one.
It was the neighbor. Never catching what her name was but y/n though she was the most beautiful woman ever. She stood tall around 5'8 and she kept her hair in a high bun or pony tail but when it was down it reached the midsection of her back.
Throughout the day y/n built up the courage to knock on the young woman's door and introduce herself with a miniature fruit basket she put together. Also while hoping the woman liked fruit.
"just a moment!" Y/n heard the girl shout from behind the door. About half a minute later the door opened and she stood tall and gorgeous with a smile on her face. "Um h-hello I'm your new neighbor, my name is y/n" you greeted and held out your hand, but you realized she didn't take it. You internally panicked thinking she didn't like you, but she was still smiling?
"hi y/n I'm Tzuyu it's nice to meet you! Would you like some tea?" She asked politely. "Oh sure. I also made you a fruit basket" y/n added as she stepped aside to let y/n in.
"ooh what type of fruit?" She questioned closing the door after she made sure y/n was inside. "um there's apples, bananas, and oranges. I'm kinda boring" she let out the most angelic laugh at your comment causing your insides to warm up at the sound.
Tzuyu and y/n spent the day together talking about their lives and creating new inside jokes with each other. The sky had darkened and the moon floated above them peaking through a few clouds. "Holy crap it's already 11 o'clock" y/n gasped. "I gotta get going, I'll see you later though"
Before y/n could make it out the door she heard a soft, "wait!" She turned around and looked at the woman whom stumbled towards her. "Do you think you can help me? Just really quickly? My friend was supposed to be here a while ago but never showed up and I sorta kinda have troubles doing things as we can see" she rambled. "Wait what do you mean?" You asked confusedly. The tension in the room was high and there was a long pause of awkward silence.
"what do YOU mean?" Tzuyu questioned back, "you didn't know?"
You paused again and rubbed your head confusedly, "know what?"
"you're so cute" Tzuyu giggled, "I'm blind silly" she said nonchalantly but your eyes widened. You then opened your eyes fully and looked around the house at the fact that she didn't have sharp objects or how she made subtly hints when she didn't shake your hand. You felt so stupid.
"I'm so stupid, I'm so sorry for no realizing" y/n stood in the doorway beating herself up about the situation. "You're okay" at least Tzuyu thought it was funny.
She had y/n help her prepare dinner and they both sat and ate together. It eventually ended as a sleepover, but both girls were fine with that.
-
Ever since y/n found out Tzuyu was blind she's been more protective of the woman. They've spent more time together than Tzuyu had spent with anyone and she absolutely enjoyed it. She never had to worry about her friends bailing on her last minute leaving her struggling to cook meals by herself. She could cook but she just didn't trust herself as much as she wish she did.
When it was a nice day y/n even took Tzuyu out to the lake and surprised her with a picnic and took polaroids together. Y/n even surprised her once with a trip to the spa that ended with them both getting their nails done. She would spoil Tzuyu as much as she could everyday to show her how much she loved and appreciated her.
Y/n would do anything to see Tzuyu's smile and her soft giggles. Tonight y/n had planned an at home dinner that would end with a movie and cuddle session. She planned to confess to the woman about how she felt. Rehearsing what she would say everyone second in her mind.
"what's that smell?" Tzuyu beamed up from her spot in the piano room. "Dinner is ready Tzutzu" you took her small, soft hand in yours and directed her to the table where she sat across from you.
"I made steak and Alfredo noodles and bread because I know it's your favorite" you watched as she smiled at the mention of bread. She was too cute. Tzuyu cleared her throat "What's the occasion?"
Your heart started beating rapidly. 'Should I tell her now?' You thought to yourself. "You okay?" Tzuyu asked before you placed your hand on top of hers. "Tzu, since the day I introduced myself to you, til now I've always had butterflies in my stomach. And now seeing that you get happy everytime we're together makes me the happiest in the world. I love you so much and I will protect you no matter what. Will you be my girlfriend?" You finally looked up at her face to catch her reaction. Tears swelled up and she smiled squeezing your hand. "Yes" hearing that familiar giggle that causes a flutter in your heart. You went around the table and lifted her into your arms.
"I love you Tzutzu"

No Talking in the Library || Taeyong
"Losing my virginity? Better say taking someone’s virginity. Triple check."
There are still so many things you want to do in your last semester before graduation, and Taeyong is willing to help you.
_______
Skinny dipping
Partying all night long
Drinking hard shots
Dancing on a bar counter
Playing spin the bottle
Getting completely drunk
Attend an illegal rave
Kiss s/o I just met
Ditch classes
You inhaled deeply and tucked the sheet back into your dress’s pocket and out of your sight, your thoughts revolving around the last point you’ve written again.
Losing my virginity
You were already a few months into your last year of university and yet you still felt like you hadn’t experienced everything a normal college kid should have once done in their young lives.
That you hadn’t really lived so far.
Looking at your friends, they had left you behind a long time ago in the first semester already when it came down to checking off bucket lists. It wasn’t like you were too shy or stayed away from parties and boys, though. The opportunity just had never arisen, and only now you realized that it probably never would if you wouldn’t take fate into your own hands.
You were sick and tired of waiting for the perfect moment and the perfect guy.
Looking at your watch, you realized it was nearly time for your next class and that you slowly had to get going.
Passing by different bookshelves, you were pondering whether to still search for lecture here in the library to read through the weekend in preparation for the project you had to work on the next week, but you quickly resisted the urge to do so as you had already collected enough and headed straight to the door.
“Watch out!” you still heard before the next thing you felt was pain crippling your face.
Only the break of a second was needed before numbness turned into pain and shot through your nerves that even reached the tips of your fingers with the root of the ache being your nose.
“Oh my god!” you squealed and brought your hands to the middle of your face while tears welled up behind your squinted eyes.
“I’m so sorry!” a male voice said, full with panic.
When you dared to open your lids, you looked into the eyes of the guy who had banged the entry door right into her face.
“You nearly killed me!”
“I’m so sorry, y/n!”
When he mentioned your name, you turned keen-eared. Blinking through your tears, you slowly started to get a sharper view of the boy in front of you as well. Just slightly taller than you, dark hair, and an expression as shocked as yours.
You just didn’t know his name anymore.
“Does it hurt that bad? Shall we go to the ward to get a cooling pad or something?”
You shook your head and slowly brought your hands down again. The guy had a hard time biting down the smile that threatened to slip off his lips. With care, he touched your arm in a comforting gesture to reassure you.
“I’m sorry, but you totally look like Rudolph the reindeer now.”
You sniffed. “Yes, thanks to you!”
“Okay, that’s true,” he admitted and retreated his hand. “How about I make it up to you, hm?”
“Uh…” You stared at him, yet you still weren’t able to classify his familiar face.
“Hey!” You suddenly got interrupted by the library’s supervisor, a middle-aged woman who was always wearing a frown and owned the hearing of a bat. “No talking in the library! Go inside or leave, but this door has to be closed, understand?”
You nodded, and the guy made a move to pass by the librarian, but not without whispering to you “Come here!” before you disappeared into the library again, the door closing shut behind you.
Having you by his arm, he dragged you along the rows of bookshelves until he found a quiet corner in the very far back of the library. All the while when you were looking at his back, you tried to remember where you knew him from.
And then it suddenly came into your mind.
When you opened the group convo with your friends, his face would appear right next to the unsaved contact that your friend Johnny had added two days prior.
It was Lee Taeyong.
Johnny, Ten, and Jaehyun’s new roommate who you had also met once before at Johnny’s birthday party last week.
“Hey, at least your nose is not red anymore, huh?” he laughed when he came to a hold.
“Banging a door into my face again, Taeyong?” you asked back. “I have to admit, this is kind of a weird way to hit on a girl.”
“You know my name! Admittedly, even just now I wasn’t so sure whether you remembered.”
“That was true, but once the pain vanished and I looked at your back, that scene seemed very familiar to me.”
He grinned. “Johnny’s birthday party, yes, I banged a door into your face back then as well. I’m sorry, I am actually a gentleman, I just didn’t have a chance to prove it yet. I hope this isn’t becoming our thing now.“
“You mean… you banging doors into my face? I hope not, because you actually seem like a nice guy, and otherwise I have to do a runner right now. I’d like to live a few years more.”
“My roommates wouldn’t like the thought that I scared their friend away, so let’s keep this a secret, alright?”
He winked and you laughed. You liked his humor very much and were wondering why you two hadn’t talked before at Johnny’s party.
„Oh, what’s this?“
Taeyong lifted his hand and picked up something white from the floor. He inspected his finding and then frowned. The next moment, he presented something to you that hadn’t been supposed to get seen by anyone else aside from you. The sheet. Apparently it had fallen out of your pocket while hurriedly walking!
You blushed up to her ears and snatched it out of his hand. “Don’t read this!”
He shrugged. “Well… it was quite hard not to miss the significant writing while picking it up, so…”
“Ugh…” You rolled your eyes into oblivion and wished for a hole to appear right under you to vanish in there right now.
You felt your ears burning and a hot flush running down your back as you remembered the last point you had written down. A stranger knowing about your virgin life! Embarrassing!!
“Do you… actually mean this?”
“Mean what?” you questioned with a shaky voice.
You hadn’t heard the slightest tone of mockery in his voice, you then noticed, and when you dared to look at him again, his gaze was even radiating curiosity, far from scorn.
“The points on this list.”
“Please don’t make fun of me!” you defended yourself. “You don’t know me or why I did this in the first place, so…”
You wanted to quickly pass by him and escape from the scenery, but he grabbed you by your arm and made you stop.
“What I know,” he then spoke, “is that you’re a kind and funny girl, apparently looking for the full college experience, am I right? I would never make fun of someone for that.”
“Okay… thank you. And I’d prefer if you won’t tell anyone about that.”
“That’s a given.”
“So… having checked off anything yet?“
You shook her head, suddenly feeling a weird knot in your stomach. “I just made this today. But now that someone knows about it, it’s probably ridiculous.”
“I don’t think that it’s ridiculous. You just want some fun, what’s so wrong about that?”
You hadn’t looked at this from another point of view, but now Taeyong was giving you his perspective. And he sounded so nonchalant and positive about it that you suddenly didn’t feel as exposed and embarrassed as before.
“You know what I think?” he then blurted out.
“What?” Now, you grew curious.
“I think you need someone to guide you through it, and many more experiences. Go hard or go home.” He grinned. “Someone who’s done all that already.”
“And you’re such a person?” you challenged.
“Let me see.”
Taeyong took the sheet from you again and read through the list. “Skinny dipping? Check. Partying all night long? Every weekend. Drinking hard shots? Also every weekend. Dancing on a bar counter? Double check, except for that one time I fell off. Playing spin the bottle? Boring, but check. Getting completely drunk? More checks than I can remember. Attend an illegal rave? Double check. Kiss someone I just met? I’m not counting this one anymore. Ditch classes? At least once a month. Losing my virginity? Better say taking someone’s virginity. Triple check.”
“Okay I understand!” You yanked the paper out of his hand again. “You probably had a few years to experience all this, and I only have the rest of my senior year left.”
“Why the rush?” Taeyong asked.
Reluctantly, you answered, “I’m leaving the country for my PhD.”
He nodded. “I see.”
Folding the sheet in your hands, you tucked it back into your pocket. “But please don’t tell the guys, I haven’t opened up to them about my future plans yet, but I want to tell them personally when the time is right.”
“Of course.” Taeyong paused. “Well, then what’s stopping you from joining a party with me tonight to get started?”
“The fact that I barely know you yet?”
“Hm, of course, you’ve got a point.” Taeyong pursed his lips and seemed to ponder over something. “Why haven’t we really talked before though at Johnny’s birthday party?”
“I really cannot remember what happened after you’ve banged the door into my face.” You chuckled. “I probably went to cry in the bathroom and then we’ve just lost sight of each other, because you haven’t found a weird sheet from me like today.”
“So… Since you only could remember me just now, we can technically say we’ve just met, right?”
“I’d sign that.”
“Great.”
You barely had time to wonder why he was grinning from ear to ear yet again when you felt Taeyong’s lips on yours the next moment.
They were soft and warm, his movements gentle at first, and he tasted so fresh and minty, and a little bit sweet as though he had drunk some fruit juice just before. Very summerly, and very manly.
His sudden kiss had left you speechless as well as motionless in the beginning, but you, now in high spirits, started to take pleasure in this act not long after his first move as you leaned against him and were welcomed with open arms.
Taeyong was a very handsome guy, there was nothing to deny about that fact, and he was a good kisser on top of that.
His hands made your body angle so that he could circle his arms around your waist and pressed you firmly against him. With your hands, you wandered upwards and sunk your fingers into his fluffy hair just in the moment Taeyong made you part your lips to deepen the kiss with his tongue.
Of course you had kissed boys before. Just because you were still a virgin didn’t mean you had never made out with someone.
But you had never made out with someone this good before.
Although you had gotten a door into your face shortly before, you weren’t so sure whether it was truly only the aftereffects of a possible head injury or Taeyong’s uninterrupted, passionate and oh-so-good kissing or both that got you feel so lightheaded and dizzy.
But what you knew was that you were enjoying that kiss very much.
And that you wanted more.
And Taeyong apparently as well as he proved it to you when his hands curved against your buttocks, and he gently shoved you backwards until your back rested against the wall behind you.
With his fingers, he felt the tender and glowing skin under your shirt’s bottom hem, massaging the spot there lightly as your hands simultaneously grabbed onto his shoulders and pulled him so close to you that no sheet would fit in the slit between you two anymore.
Secretly kissing in the library hadn’t been written down on your agenda, but you took whatever you could get to make your last semester a memorable one.
This was so fun to you that you started to think that this bucket list that you had made wasn’t that much of a bad idea after all if every single one of the experiences would leave you that excited as kissing Taeyong.
When you parted, he was still wearing that grin that now seemed more sweet than smug to you, and you joined him.
“Kiss someone you just met? Check.”
“Well, then our meeting here didn’t go to waste after all,” you concluded.
Admittedly, you wanted more. And by the way Taeyong looked at you, still so turned on and dreamy, he didn’t seem to loathe that idea as well.
“How about putting another point up that list?”
“Such as…?” You tilted your head.
“Making out with someone you’ve just met at a party?”
You playfully looked away as though you were in deep thoughts, but to you, the answer was clear the moment he had proposed the idea to you. “I think that’s an experience I shouldn’t miss as well.”
Just as Taeyong let out a relieved laughter and leaned in to you again, you heard a familiar,
“No talking in the library!”
In front of them stood the librarian with the worst timing ever.
“Technically, we weren’t talking,“ Taeyong cleared up cheekily as he withdrew from you, and you nodded in approval.
The librarian though looked confused.
The wink Taeyong shot into your direction was only visible for you, and you blushed faintly as you agreed, “Yeah, we were anything but talking.”
„But I heard you!“ the elderly woman scolded.
“Well, we did something much more fun than talking,” Taeyong explained, but before the librarian could chide more, you laughingly escaped to the outside.
„So about the party…“ he then started as the library’s door closed behind you. „Since we’re technically no strangers anymore…“
You rolled your eyes, but smiled. „Perhaps, I’ll come to the party.“
„And then move on to check off the other points?“ He smirked.
You stuck your tongue out at him, but were really looking forward to tonight.
